Bug: Tagging issue of "Abomination" in Mat 24:15 NKJV
Hello,
Can someone else please help to confirm if it is indeed a bug, thank you.
To recreate the issue:
- Open NKJV to Mat 24:15
- (1) Right click on the English Word "Abomination" ...
- Cannot see all the underlining RVI encoding in the Context Menu
- (2) Or click on Interlinear button (to show the interlinear Pane)
- Click on the English word "Abomination"
- It does not move the word "Abomination" to the center to interlinear pane
PS: It seems to be OK in other Translation such as ESV, KJV

Brisa,
Can you take a look at this forgotten thread on similar issue that I reported long time ago, thanks.

You need to remember that it's the abomination of DESOLATION. [;)] [:D] And, yes, I can also confirm that.

The case for that issue is still active. I have updated the case.

This will be fixed in 5.1 Beta 9 for beta testers, and in general when 5.1 ships to the stable channel.
Finding "abomination" in this verse when running a Bible or Basic search will require rebuilding your index.

Brisa,
Thanks ... looks like many things will be fixed in 5.1 ... looking forward to that [:)]

I assume rebuilding in 5.1? I think that this is where the resource should be updated so that we only have to index the one resource OR will other resources be affected, whether or not they have the same issue?

Brisa,
Please excuse my understanding, but I couldn't parse your last comment. Does this mean after installing 5.1 Beta 9 (or later or 5.1 Stable) we will need to run "Rebuild Bible Index" (or another command) manually? Or is the respective index rebuild during installation? Please clarify here and - if manual intervention is required or an unusual long indexing time is to be expected - in the Release Notes.
Thank you!
Have joy in the Lord!

This is a code issue, not a resource issue. We could rebuild this one resource (to trigger reindexing) but it's possible that other resources could be affected (I don't know of any).
Yes, rebuild in 5.1.

It will not be automatic; you will need to run "rebuild bible index" (with 5.1 Beta 9 or later) if you are affected by the problem, when it is convenient for you.

Thanks Bradley. I normally don't use the NKJV and so far were not affected by the problem - but it seems I could be and if I'd were to run a search in any time later that was affected by this, I'd most probably not remember this issue. Thus I'll rather run the reindexing (at a convenient point in time) soon after the Beta 9 ships.

Surely, you would have to rebuild the Library index as well? This is where I think that an update of the NKJV would be more convenient.
