Hi Wendy, The best advice I ever got (when I asked that same question in 2005) was to begin by giving God just 15 mins, EVERY MORNING. Always ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you to understand and retain what you are reading, according  to God's will; and IF you feel like reading more, go ahead! If you don't feel moved to, just mark your spot and put your book back down where you can see it the next morning when you get up.  I was stuck on 15 mins for  a LONG TIME, BUT before I knew it, I was automatically INTERESTED and was yearning for more! The next thing I noticed, the Holy Spirit was bringing things back to me with situations in my life. I wasn't able (yet) to recall where I saw it, but every once in a while, someone would say something pertaining to what God wanted, and the automatic responses came right out of my mouth beginning with "well, I remember reading in the Bible, and it says........" I couldn't believe it was me, because it wasn't -really. It was the Holy Spirit IN me speaking. He will hide the words in your heart and will use you to speak them wherever He needs you to speak...and He promises to finish what He begins! Today, I am still giving my 15 mins, each morning, but honestly, sometimes I can't put my Bible down for a couple of hours! GOD IS AMAZING and my life has gradually gotten better and better throughout the years. Sure, I still have tribulations, but because I read now, I have learned that God SAID I would, along with the good moments, and you know, when its bad, I just remember that, and soon "This, too, shall pass!" (just like he says) God Bless you!

Hi Wendy - and welcome to the forums

Wendy Moore:

I just logged onto this for a free account. How do you start a reading plan?

As per the discussion at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/66272/462587.aspx#462587 there is no mechanism within Biblia to create a reading plan (you can follow one created in Logos)

Do you have the Logos software you could use to create a plan?

Graham
