BUG: Biblical DSS in Text Comparison

Deuteronomy 23:26 in 4QDeut-a is not showing up in the Text Comparison tool.
This thread illustrates another problem I'm having with the Biblical DSS.

I can't recreate this problem. As you can see from the 4QDeutF label, you are showing verse 25 in the DSS compared to verse 26 in the BHS. Mine shows verse 26 across the texts, so I'm wondering what version of the software are you running (my machine is running 5.0b SR-1 (5.0.2.0727) )? (I'm guessing you're running Windows as well, but I don't know if I'd recognize the differences in a Mac screenshot that doesn't include the top menu line).
There is another way to make use of the Biblical DSS, though. There's a resource in that bundle called the Biblical Dead Sea Scrolls: Bible Reference Index that lets you punch in any Bible verse and see which scrolls contain it (or fragments of it), so that can be a handy way of finding things without all the blank lines of the comparison tool. Though I think it would be nice if the comparison tool omitted any blank lines... I'll file a note to the designer to that effect.

The problem is that Deut 23:26 in the Hebrew Bible is 23:25 in English Bibles. The text comparison tool is telling the Biblical DSS to show v.25, which isn't in 4QDeut-a. However, the Text Comparison tool is showing BHS 23:26.
That's the issue. I don't know what the problem is.
Open BHS Westminster 4.2, set it to link set A, open Text Comparison, set it to link set A, set display versions in Text Comparison to "WHM 4.2, Biblical Dead Sea Scrolls", punch in Deut 23:26. and you should get the same as the screenshot above.
The reference scheme with the Biblical Dead Sea Scrolls seems to be based on the English Bible, not the Hebrew Bible. Does that sound right? Can that be switched?
I'm running 5.0b SR-1 (5.0.2.0727) in Windows

Or maybe I should say the text comparison tool is treating the Biblical DSS as though it were based on the English Bible

In that screenshot you provided, the verse field says BHS Deuteronomy... That leading BHS means 'using the BHS versification'. So unless something odd is going on where you typed that but the window didn't refresh or something, the English numbering really shouldn't make a difference. Just so you don't think I'm nuts, here's my screenshot:
I noticed when I hovered over the 'BHS' it told me which version it was importing from and to my shock I was seeing the oldest edition of Westminster on my system despite my prioritization settings (which explains why my screenshot has no cantillation marks - filing bug report for that!), but that didn't prevent the sync from working. I promptly hid all the old editions of Westminster and rebooted and tried again with 'follow' turned on, and everything is working, though now 'BHS' isn't available as a Bible abbreviation on the right-hand list, but I can try this with BHS/WHM 4.2, or LHB and they all sync fine for me (all use the same Bible Data Type), even following.
When you hover over the initials 'BHS' in the top line of the comparison results, what resource is it citing?

I had some of my "short titles" switch around. I've reset them to default, hid my old Westminster BHS's, but still can't get it to display your screen shot. Here's the latest:

OK. Finally.
When I closed BHS/WHM 4.2 and opened LHB with the Text Comparison tool it is displaying just like your screen shot.
So the problem is with BHS/WHM 4.2, I guess.
I was wrong. It didn't work. I looked back at my screen shot and it was on a different verse. Jumped to conclusions.

The problem persists. I'm throwing in the towel for the night. Thanks for the help, so far.

I tried letting the tool follow me around in the Gottingen Deuteronomy volume and I still couldn't recreate the problem. I'll ask some developers if they have any ideas. I wonder a bit if a milestone index problem could be biting you, but that doesn't make too much sense to me. It's hard to troubleshoot problems that one can't reproduce. Maybe it would be a good idea to turn on diagnostic logging and play around a bit in the text comparison tool and then send us your logs. (You can attach them to a message here, or email them to tech support with a link to this thread.)

I'm going to reindex and see if it works in the morning. Thanks so much for all the help.

I am running SR-2. The problem is still there. Your screen appears to be displaying things correctly. Hopefully that means the problem is taken care of in the beta.
