The Search Fields List in the Logos Wiki (http://wiki.logos.com/Search_Fields_List) states the following:

Search fields are the fields that can be searched by using a fieldname: searchitem syntax. For instance, heading:compassion will search for titles and headings that have the word “compassion” in them.

This field only works in Bibles! It will not look for headers in non-Bibles. I want to be able to search my non-Bible books for headers or for topics. Is there a work around for this problem in Logos 4?

Sadly not. Headings are not searchable in Logos4 resources. It would be relatively easy for them to allow it, but for some reason they don't. You can see some debate with a Logos employee here. The best we got out of him was "please be assured that we're actively considering how to expand our functionality for topical search."

I changed the article to avoid misunderstanding:-

"These can be discovered by looking in the Information window of a resource, so note that they will not work in all resources."
