BUG: Missing links on copy & paste
Note only the last reference, and that only in some cases, is converted to a link. I did a simple copy & paste - actually testing outline formatting - when I found this.

I just pasted the unlinked text --> (John 14:8-17,26; John 15:26; Isaiah 9:6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Isaiah 42:8; Isaiah 45:15; Matt 28:19) - and found that only the last passage was recognised after I hit the space bar. I had to insert further spaces to get the other passages recognised. Same issue when pasting the hyperlinked passages from this post.
There is no problem with recognition in 5.0b's editor; which is much faster (and more positive in) displaying the passages when moving the cursor over the text.
If this Editor isn't up to it by Beta 4 then it should be retired (as was the user-created Series feature) until it is ready.

Agreed. As bad as the L4/5 Mac Notes Editor was prior to 5.1, it was much better than the "improvement"

Sadly no change in Beta 4 (and Hebrew rendering in Clippings is also unchanged) ...

We try to release betas on a regular calendar schedule, not on a task-based schedule. Therefore, not all reported bugs will be fixed in the next beta. And there will be known issues because it's beta.

Then where are the Known Issues documented?
I am not confident that this Editor is mature enough for Beta testing when we are still discovering elementary issues after 3 releases and significant issue are still unresolved after 4 releases. It's not sufficient to say that "it's beta" when the basic requirements for this text editor are not being met - it appears to be based on a model for typing text rather than pasting text.
Much as I disliked it being retired after one beta, the feature for custom series metadata has been re-introduced with improved functionality, yet clearly you had judged it to be not ready for Beta 1. Other users have expressed (deep) disappointment with this Text Editor but all we hear is "it's beta"!
I have been so cautious about this feature that I have not risked exposing my own documents to its flaws, particularly the handful of Clippings that I really value (there is nothing to lose in the new account that I'm using).
If it can't/won't be fixed for Beta 5 then I urge that it be withdrawn or a command be provided that will enable us to use the good old Text Editor.

I am able to reproduce this issue and will create a case for Development. Thanks!

This will be fixed on Windows in 5.1 Beta 5. The case for fixing this on Mac is still open.
