"Copy" function in clippings

When I go to the citation part of a clipping, the "Copy" word that I should be able to click on doesn't work?  Is there a setting I have missed, is it a bug?  I have used the function before without a problem.  I am running Logos 4 for Mac and have restarted both the program and the computer.  Help?

Welcome to the forums, Lawrence! Sorry you are having troubles. [:S]

When I go to the citation part of a clipping, the "Copy" word that I should be able to click on doesn't work?

I concur, it isn't working for me (but I am using L5). It is working, however, from within the resource itself.

I have used the function before without a problem.

Have you used it before successfully from within a clipping, or from within the resource info panel?

I am running Logos 4 for Mac

    Three quick things:

    1. What version are you currently running? It is important to know this when reporting a bug.
    2. In the future, it would be better to create a thread about the software in the appropriate forum (either the L4 Mac forum, or the L5 forum). I will create a new thread in the L5 Beta forum so that this issue gets addressed in L5. I will create a link to this thread too.
    3. Is there a reason you haven't updated to the free L5 engine? What OS are you running?

Thanks for responding.  I am running version 4.6b SR-3 (4.62.0.2683).  What do you mean by working from within the resource itself?  What do you mean about free L5 engine?

What do you mean by working from within the resource itself?

What isn't working is the "copy" button in a clipping. If you go to the actual resource (i.e. ESV) itself, you can click on the resource's info panel button (little "circle 'i'" icon) in the upper right hand corner. If you scroll through that panel, you will find an identical citation to the one you are seeing in the clipping… but it actually works. [:)]

What do you mean about free L5 engine?

The Logos software is always free… you only pay for resources (which includes books, data sets, etc.). When Logos released L5 late last year, the software engine was available only to those who purchased new base packages, but the software engine has now been made available to everyone. HERE is a link to the wiki where you can learn more about how to download the new engine. HERE is a link to the system requirements. As long as your computer meets the system requirements, it is strongly advised that you update to L5. You will not get all of the new features without making a purchase, but your software will be as up to date as possible.

Logos has made the L5 engine available free of charge - it is available from http://www.logos.com/installation

This will be fixed in 5.1 Beta 9 for beta testers and, in general, when 5.1 ships to stable.
