Bug: v5.1 Not syncing Preferences

I updated the laptop from 5.0b to 5.1 and the yellow triangle was displayed over the Sync arrows. The Logos log states:-

Error LDLS4.AppModel Sync errors preventing local migration of old preferences. Some preferences may be missing until sync is successful. Preferences changed in the meantime.
6646.LogosSyncPref.log

My beta 5.1 installation continues to sync normally.

The sync error occurred before maintenance started and still remains.

It is not logged in LogosError.log.

So the problem is occurring because you have Sync v1 items that were needing to be synced, but with the latest release we disabled uploading to sync v1. When a download comes in for an item that hasn't yet been synced, it causes an error, and normally goes away right away as we would upload the item, but obviously with uploads disabled that isn't going to happen. We would've disabled downloads as well, but we need to migrate preferences locally so we typically try to download the latest first. I should've modified it so that from now on in this release it would ignore these errors from an update failing due to local changes.

If the app fails to sync continually for I think it is 5 restarts, then it should just go ahead and migrate what it can locally, and sync v1 will be disabled.

Also, because you've already ran the beta, you would have nothing to migrate anyways at this point. So for you it should just be an annoying yellow triangle, that will go away after restarting 5 times. If it doesn't go away let me know.

It went away OK, but so did the Sync arrows!

The sync arrows were active before disappearing. A subsequent log shows they disappeared after the 4th message:- SyncManager Finished requesting sync on all sync clients. Summary of elapsed times:

EDIT: they reappear for syncing then disappear so I can't activate sync manually.

What is an "S.R"? I must be having the same problem. I had a triangle over the sync arrows, too and they are gone now - no arrows and no triangle.

I have two laptops and an Android Tablet. One laptop and the android were able to download all the updates and LEB with voice just fine. My problem is that on one of the laptops, there is no icon showing for synchronization. If I waited a little while when I opened Logos 5.1, an icon would appear with the triangle over it and when I placed the pointer over it, it would say: "Items are waiting to be synchronized," There is now nothing showing in that space.

SR stands for "service release." (I.e. 5.1 SR-1)
