Yeah I know what  you mean. It's good that my real list for suggestions is actually much bigger. I'll see what I can do.

I haven't read through your whole list carefully, but it looks great. I'd love to have more Romano Guardini works, any Romano Guardini (Logos doesn't have anything by him yet).

    • The Spirit of the Liturgy
    • The End of the Modern World
    • Letters from Lake Como: Explorations on Technology and the Human Race - a favorite of mine; I read/studied it for my master's thesis
    • Jesus Christus
    • Learning the Virtues That Lead You to God
    • The Inner Life of Jesus: Pattern of All Holiness
    • The Lord's Prayer
    • Eternal Life: What You Need to Know about Death, Judgement and the Everlasting

    I appreciate Brandon Vogt's list. http://brandonvogt.com/best-catholic-books-of-all-time/

His first section (Theology and the Basics of Catholicism) seems like a good place to start. I've crossed out the items already listed in Logos. Obtaining the others seems like a good place to start.

Adams, Karl - The Spirit of Catholicism
Bouyer, Louis - Spirit and Forms of Protestantism
Catholic Church - Catechism of the Catholic Church
Guardini, Romano - The End of the Modern World
    Guardini, Romano - The Lord
Hahn, Scott - Rome Sweet Home
Kreeft, Peter - Christianity for Modern Pagans
Newman, John Henry - Essay on the Development of Christian Doctrine
Newman, John Henry - Parochial and Plain Sermons
Ott, Ludwig - Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma (Grrrr...This one just dropped out of Logos)
Pieper, Josef - The Four Cardinal Virtues

Apologies for the previous post. It appears that the lengthy moderation process for any post containing a link eliminated the struckout text. It comes down to this though, Adams, Bouyer, Guardini, Ott, and Pieper would all make great additions to Logos' current offerings.

Sorry, maybe there's a limit of a number of minimum posts before one is allowed to edit (which is good, since spammers used this to insert spam into posts).

Entirely understandable. And it is one of the moderated posts (as mentioned elsewhere) so that would definitely fit. Guess it'll just have to stay the way it is. Thanks! :)

There is a time limit during which posts can be edited.  Perhaps it had expired by the time it was finally posted and you were able to attempt an edit.

George, it's very possible. I don't know what the time limit is for editing posts, though I would imagine that 24 hours would exceed it. I added a post about the moderation in the Logos.com website forum.

Antonius, quite a few of your books are already in Logos, or on prepub. And others are on Sleiman's list. In fact, several even occur twice in your own post. You're not helping your cause by posting such an unedited list.

Well, I did find some of the suggestions in his list to be quite good and not mentioned in my list, for example Raniero Cantalamessa's, Louis Evely's and Adrienne von Speyr's books as well as others. Thanks Antonius.

    I appreciate Brandon Vogt's list.

Seems like a great list too. Thanks Nick.

So did I, but a properly edited list will get more readers, and is more likely to get Logos' full attention. I'm not sure they have the time and inclination to sift through something like that. And even if they do, they could easily miss something.

Yeah, you're right. I also hesitated at putting out a long list for fear of not being read; but I don't have the patience to put out one or two suggestions at a time. While I only listed those that are not already available in Logos, I did not bother to remove those that were suggested before nor did I check everything.

Also the list is not comprehensive of the works I would like to have in my Logos library, only a part of it. I'll be adding more to it as well.
