It's not a huge deal by any means, but I added a photo to my profile for this forum and it's not showing up. Does it take awhile or is there something I need to know?

Yes, it takes a while. Sometimes it can be several days.

As ST said, it takes awhile to update on the forum. Everywhere else it tends to update automatically or at least quickly. I suspect part of the reason it is slower on the forum is to suppress trolls who try to change their ID info to avoid detection. Mildly annoying, but I can put up with it. Besides, my avatar is so handsome, I hardly ever want to switch it anyway.

I always thought it was to prevent new attackers from posting inappropriate pics in their profile.
Found this post and just had to ask, out of curiosity, why the goat ... err sheep... David?

Oh no Liam, you may resurrect the goat sheep to this thread again!
You guys need to get your ruminates glasses checked!
This is a sheep...
...and being such a fine specimen of split-hoof masculinity, I'm surprised you would even feel the need to ask. But, in case it isn't perfectly obvious, I find this handsome fellow to portray the perfect balance of spotlessness and reverence. Besides, it has been intimated on rare occasions that I possess the characteristic of a hard head (I know, I don't get it either), but I don't mind being the butt of an occasional joke.

Goats and sheep aren't ruminates, they are ruminants.

In reality, I think we actually got your goat.
David Paul:I find this handsome fellow to portray the perfect balance of spotlessness and reverence.
Are you kidding? Do you call the sticking out of one's tongue to be reverent?
David Paul:it has been intimated on rare occasions that I possess the characteristic of a hard head
And now we can agree!
Rosie Perera:Goats and sheep aren't ruminates, they are ruminants.
And from these cud-chewers we get the expression "to ruminate".
