BUG: Parallel resources crashes Logos
Trying to select a parallel resource from a Lexicons collection or a Topical collection causes Logos to crash. It does not happen with Parallel Bibles or commentaries.
Syntax for Greek lexicon collection:
type:lexicon AND (subject:greek OR title:greek) ANDNOT title:(glossary, vocab)
Syntax for Topical collection:
title:topical
Thoughts?

Please edit the title of this thread and put the word "Bug" in it.
I am getting the same thing selecting parallel Bible dictionaries.
Here are the logs:
NOTE: I just bought a resource, but did not let indexing finish indexing that resource. I'll do that and try again. But I don't believe that's the issue.

Looking at the logs I see this line:
Error OurApp Unhandled exception: System.ArgumentException: headwordLanguage must not be Neutral
Parameter name: headwordLanguageThat suggests to me that the Smart Selection parameters may be conflicting with older resources. Thoughts?

Confirm the crash.
Fred, could you change the title of this thread to place BUG: at the beginning of the title? That way, someone at Logos is more likely to notice.
Logos 5.2 Beta 1 on Mac OS 10.8.5. This attempt was to select a parallel resource from BDAG. Crash can be reliably produced whether the Greek Lexicon is opened by double-click or from the right click menu. First log started from double-click to open BDAG
1261.LogosLogs.jackcav.20131012-201512.zip
Second crash identical (no log). Third crash initiated from right-click menu to open MM (different layout)
2476.LogosLogs.jackcav.20131012-202103.zip
EDIT: See that Richard posted while I was happily crashing my app. This confirms that it is not a Mac-only bug. Happy to have my Windows brethren share in the blessing.

Thanks for confirming, Richard and Jack. I have edited the title.

For the sake of completeness, it's worth noting that using the left or right arrow keys also produces the crash.
On other other hand, double-clicking in the blank space to the right of the tab doesn't crash.
Clicking the plus tab, and then selecting the resource from the right column also doesn't crash. That's probably the best work-around for now.

This error is a known bug - Bradley has commented in at least two such threads recently. Maybe the detailed testing here helps in solving this fully.

The thread opening with this link discusses a totally different problem.

Yes, but the crash message is the same, and as that's a new error, it's very likely the two crashes have the same cause (or at least are linked).

It has now (click your link again), only a couple of hours ago. Maybe that's because the error message is not spelled out in the posts, but is in a (non-zipped) logfile.

The log file that shows in the results is from this thread.

This crash will be fixed in 5.2 Beta 2.

Great! Any idea on when the next beta drop is expected?
