I have been very impressed with the Logos Systems etc. However I am disappointed that if you search the entire logos resources almost no mission based literature is found.
The recent book by Chris Wright 'The Mission of God' or the infamous David Bosch's 'Transforming Mission' or Harold Netlands 'Dissonant Voices' are few of this style that Logos has missed.
The danger of this is that we fall into our Theology Theoretically. A common problem in the west.
I hope to see these and other titles soon!!

email book titles to suggest at logos dot com or post them on the suggestion forum. It's not uncommon for those titles to end up on the pre-pub page.

Hope you get your wish.
And people have to order what is offered. There are a few mission related books on prepub although what Logos labels as mission isn't usually missiology. Toward the 21st Century in Christian Mission is currently under development and may be out in under a year from first being offered (Mar 08). http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/3866

It is a weakness. A few references that have been on my wish list for some time...
* World Christian Encyclopedia - Barrett, Kurian and Johnson
* Operation China - Paul Hattaway
* Operation World - Johnston and Mandryk (would be great in the daily devotional section)
The Bill Bright collection may also have some of what you are looking for... hmmm.... I can't find it on the Logos site. Is it still published on Logos?
Perhaps not what you are after or in the same league - Evangelical Dictionary of World Missions http://www.logos.com/products/details/3603

Bruce, I am right with you. Several have already requested Chris Wright--ANY of his works, and I remember asking for David Bosch's book. (there is also a companion reader to that, did you know?). Here is another link to the wiki resource suggestions: http://wiki.logos.com/Product_Wishlist Wright and Bosch are not on there--they need to be added by someone. But that will hopefully provide a running total of books we want.
Speaking of book suggestions: besides having a list, it would be nice to have a counter or widget that tabulated the interest level of these books. Looking at the wiki, some I could care less about, some I want more, and some I really want are not on there. Wouldn't having a way to gauge interest level be helpful to us and especially to Logos? I wonder if Logos already has some kind of tabulation or ranking system for suggestions
Another thing to keep in mind is Logos may be trying to get the books but they may not be released by publishers . . .
Speaking of suggestions, my goodness, we need more people to sign up for this terrific community pricing option: Irt http://www.logos.com/communitypricing/details/5683 It is the George Mueller collection. I have read a little biography on him with my girls and we ALL loved it. An amazing story of a rebellious partying German young man who encounters some believers at a Bible study (he was there for a chick) who prayed "as if someone was really in the room listening." Long story short: he dedicates himself to God, has several dreams dashed/redirected and ends up running an orphanage. What he is known for best is his complete reliance upon prayer. He never sent fundraising letters, and God provided again and again and again. He said even after that it was not easy to live in faith, but it was nevertheless exciting to see what God would do next (Piper quotes that in his book Desiring God).
Having all that on Logos, searchable, clippable, etc etc would be great for any Bible student, preacher looking for illustrations, disciple wanting to grow in faith, new Christian seeing how God transformed a total "worldly man" into (over time) a solid saint.
thanks, that was for free, Logos! :)
I like Apples. Especially Honeycrisp.

Ted & Others,
Is this the kind of book that becomes dated quickly? I noticed it is dated 2000.
Thanks in advance,
Scott
Thanks to all those who have replied. When I get a chance I will look at all the links suggested and get back to you.
I am passionate about missiology after attending All Nations www.allnations.ac.uk where Chris Wright used to be the Principle.
Amen!

I have the book, it is out already. And there are a few more titles, it's true however that there are not too many titles in Logos as far as the missiology subject is concerned.
There is a great book however in the prepub, which is loosely connected to the subject of missions:
Bohuslav
Donovan R. Palmer:* Operation World - Johnston and Mandryk (would be great in the daily devotional section)
Yes, yes, that would be great aid to the Logos library. I have the book in paper and the new edition in pdf file. Logos is whole other story however.
I found this one in my Logos resources and was pleasantly surprised.

I would love to see a lot of the books found in the William Carey Library on Logos4 http://missionbooks.org/williamcareylibrary/home.php It would be great if a partnership could be developed as this would greatly assist those like myself who are missionaries. I chose to invest in Logos4 in the knowledge that I would not be able to carry lots of heavy books out with me into rural Africa. I have lots of excellant commentaries and books on theology but few books on mission - I have most of the books already mentioned. Unfortunatly a lot of the books on my mission books wishlist are too big and heavy even in paperback!
For instance from William Carey Library: Perspectives on the World Christian Movement - ISBN: 9780878083909
From Seed to Fruit: Global Trends, Fruitful Practices, and Emerging Issues Among Muslims
J. Dudley Woodberry (editor) - ISBN: 9780878080038
Appropriate Christianity
Charles Kraft - ISBN 9780878083589
EMS Series

I think emailing your resource suggestions to suggest@logos.com is actually the most likely way to get them paid attention to. See this post: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/15966/121078.aspx#121078
