5.2 SR-3: Bug/Annoyance: Place lookup from right-click menu doesn't zoom map to show place

[Windows version]

I'm beginning a study on the book of Jeremiah. I read the first verse and see that Jeremiah is from Anathoth. I wonder where that is. I right click on it and choose Place > Bible Facts. A map comes up which allegedly will show me where Anathoth is, but it's zoomed out to show the whole map and I cannot read any of the text without zooming in.

If I try to zoom in (by scrolling my mouse scroll wheel, or by clicking Actual Size), I can read the text, but I can't easily find where Anathoth is. I know I can type Ctrl+F "anathoth" and the map will zoom in and center on the town I'm looking for, but I shouldn't have to. That should be automatic when I come to this map via a a right-click menu command Place lookup.

I think this has been brought up before long ago, but I can't remember what was the response about it. Is there an open case for it? Please fix it soon in an upcoming release. It is one of the few areas left where the app seems unpolished.

Hi Rosie, if I want to see a place I use control key and F and I can easily find it.

    Blessings in Christ.

Thanks for your contribution, Tes. I know that, and I even mentioned it. But we should not have to type in the name of a place we're looking up when we just saw it in the text of a Bible. That's the beauty of the right-click menu. Should go straight to that place on the map when it opens up.

There is no open case for this issue. However I will create a case and once it is fixed this forum post will be updated. [:)]
