Ouch!
Try applying a highlight. That should give you a note, though you'd have to change the note icon manually.

Trying that myself, I found another bug: BUG: No autoscrolling to new highlighting note. I presume it's there in the [Mac] beta as well.

Can't speak for anyone else but not being able to add notes in the new beta is a definite "showstopper" for me. Had to resort to my Windows 7 L5 which is on stable channel. Here's hoping for a fix before Christmas week!

A fate almost worse than death [:D] I am in the same predicament. Updated the Windows version and set it to stable prior to the beta release. This works, but am having problems with my dual display setup. The top third of floating windows on the second display is missing—for layouts created in the Mac version. Don't know if this is a Logos or a Parallels problem.

Fortunately Jack, I am able to run Win 7 in bootcamp or Vmware Fusion. Running natively with bootcamp has temporarily solved the problem but I am certainly no Windows fan! Hopefully they will release a fix for this "showstopper" pretty quick.

Did you try my workaround above? Cumbersome, especially with the extra bug, but it should work.

Thanks. It's easy to miss posts that turn up while one is writing one's own, and the L5 forum tends to get less attention if a new beta makes the beta forum 'explode'.
I believe I've also bumped a few posts in the L4Mac forum lately, without success.

Did not try it, but can't think of any reason why it would not work. Running Windows under Parallels is only slightly inconvenient. The worst part is in using Windows [;)]. After reading the advance warning about this beta, I set L5 W up as my stable backup. Figured that if I put the beta on a backup system, it would not get the attention it deserved—I can't give attention to 8 different installations at once like KS4J seems to do [8-|]
Have I ever told you that I really appreciate your presence on these forums? I do, even when you correct me almost as much as my Bride does [:D]

fgh, tried the workaround but I could not get it too work! I will continue to use Logos on Win 7 until they fix it. Thanks for the response.

Will work for notes added to Selection, but not if you wanted to apply one to Reference.

Following this thread now, I'm having the same issue on the Mac. Glad to see others are having the same issue and it's not me going crazy. (Well, at least not in this specific area... [;)] )
