BUG: 5.2a: Citations for verses copied from CEB use page numbers not verse references
Open CEB (Common English Bible).
Select a verse or two or three from anywhere in it.
Copy.
Paste here into the forum (or anywhere).
Result: The citation uses a page number, not a verse reference. Even if the index is set to verse references.
27 There’s Benjamin leading them,
though he’s little;
then the princes of Judah,
their speaker;
then the princes of Zebulun
and the princes of Naphtali.
28 Summon your strength, God!
Show how strong you are, God,
just as you’ve done for us before,
29 from your temple above Jerusalem,
where kings bring you gifts.

The index was set to show verse references, not page numbers (though the latter is available):

I noticed the same same with BKC and APA citation style:
Walvoord, J. F. (1985). Revelation. In J. F. Walvoord & R. B. Zuck (Eds.), The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures (Vol. 2, p. 943). Wheaton, IL: Victor Books.
and SBL Handbook of Style got the page number wrong:
John F. Walvoord, “Revelation,” in The Bible Knowledge Commentary: An Exposition of the Scriptures (ed. J. F. Walvoord and R. B. Zuck; vol. 2; Wheaton, IL: Victor Books, 1985), 2943.
The active index was Rev 4:4.

Yes, thanks for mentioning citation style. I'd been messing around with my citation style and had left it on SBL. But when I changed it back to Turabian, which I usually use, I got the same result.

I will create a case for Development to investigate this issue.

This should be fixed in 5.2b Beta 1.
