In the recent discussion of whether to name the forthcoming Pentecostal/Charismatic base package Pentecostal or Charismatic, a Logos employee noted a preference for targeting base packages at specific named groups (e.g., Lutherans, Anglicans) and bundles/packages for theological currents. Might this project be better as a series of sized bundles?
"The saints are the true interpreters of Holy Scripture. The meaning of a given passage of the Bible becomes most intelligible in those human beings who have been totally transfixed by it and have lived it out." - Pope Benedict XVI
James C., I would add to the list of authors, Gareth Reese, Don DeWelt, Donald Hunt, Moses Lard, R.C. Foster, Lewis Foster, Donald Nash, James D. Murch, Lynn Gardner, Kenny Boles, Carl Ketcherside.Add College Press and Standard Publishing (of which there are already several resources available) to publishing companies.
SineNomine:a preference for targeting base packages at specific named groups
Most members of these churches just go by the name "Christian." That would be a nondescript name for a base package. If these publications are only offered in add-ons, I doubt many would buy any of the current base packages. There is almost no doctrinal overlap between them.
Logos 7 Collectors Edition
SineNomine:Might this project be better as a series of sized bundles?
Perhaps, but I think a base package is more appropriate. I find a figure of 7 million restoration movement world-wide. But then again I'd prefer that the 7th Day Adventist package be Millerite.
Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
MJ. Smith: SineNomine:Might this project be better as a series of sized bundles? Perhaps, but I think a base package is more appropriate. I find a figure of 7 million restoration movement world-wide. But then again I'd prefer that the 7th Day Adventist package be Millerite.
At that rate, Eastern Catholics deserve their own base package. But I think you'd be good with that. (So would I.)
Bill Shewmaker: James C., I would add to the list of authors, Gareth Reese, Don DeWelt, Donald Hunt, Moses Lard, R.C. Foster, Lewis Foster, Donald Nash, James D. Murch, Lynn Gardner, Kenny Boles, Carl Ketcherside.Add College Press and Standard Publishing (of which there are already several resources available) to publishing companies.
Absolutely, these would be great additions to this kind of base package.
Wait...I don't get it. Don't we already have a Reformation package? Do we need a Restoration package, too? Did the fix not fix what needed being fixed?
It seems particularly odd that the ways of YHWH are constantly in need of a handy man.
ASROCK x570 Creator, AMD R9 3950x, 64gb 3600 RAM, 2tb m.2 EVO Pro Plus SSD (x2), 12tb Seagate Barracuda (x2)...and other mechano-digital happiness.
"The Unbelievable Work...believe it or not."
MJ. Smith: But then again I'd prefer that the 7th Day Adventist package be Millerite.
But then again I'd prefer that the 7th Day Adventist package be Millerite.
Minor problem: Miller did not accept the "New Light" of those that became the 7th Day Adventist Church.
But the idea has merit in that that would widen the package to other similar groups [churches].
As in how did the other Millerites differ from the early 7th Day Adventist Church.
David Paul: It seems particularly odd that the ways of YHWH are constantly in need of a handy man.
The ways of YHWH do not need a handy man as they are set for all eternity. It is we, the creation of YHWH, that have some minor problems in finding the 'one and only true' path. That is why we are split some 40,009 ways.

I have just sent out an email to a few of these publishes. My hope is this might get the ball rolling. If others are interested in getting these resources published in Logos I would suggest you contact them as well.
While it is a daunting task to try coming up with a list of EVERYTHING I would like to see in such a package, here is my starter list, which is by no means complete. If Logos were to offer a package offering these resources, I would be VERY interested in it.
Apologetics Press Articles
Many of these articles are probably already available in the various publications put out by Apologetics Press that are also on this list.

Bob Winton Outlined Commentaries
Commentary set covering the Old and New Testaments. Unfortunately, I could not find direct contact information for Bob Winton, whom I **believe** self-publishes. The best I could do was find a link to a vendor. However, I **believe** the vendor's list of available volumes may not reflect all of Bob Winton's writings.

Fortify Your Faith

Gospel Advocate
Publishes a wide range of material affiliated with the churches of Christ, including a complete New Testament commentary set. Some of their material appears to be available in digital format already.

James Burton Coffman Commentaries
Commentary set on covering both the Old and New Testaments. As far as I know, these are currently available electronically in two formats. They can be viewed online for free one chapter at a time or they can be purchased for use with Theophilos. Looks like Abilene Christian University Press is the publisher.

Schertz Church of Christ Lectureship Books
The Schertz lectureship was previously known as the Denton Lectureship. This is important to know because the Schertz/Denton lectureship books work together to form a set. Each year the lectureship has focused on one or more specific books of the Bible. When the books are taken together, they essentially form a commentary set. I know that there is a CD available with these books in electronic form, but I do not know how far back they go.

Science Vs. Evolution (Vance Ferrell)
This is not affiliated with the churches of Christ as far as I know. It is just a resource that I have found to be helpful and that I included here because it is available online for free. It is actually an expanded version of another book by Vance Ferrell called The Evolution Cruncher (which is available for free in PDF from the same website).

Shenandoah Church of Christ Lectureship Books
These are available on CD in PDF form. I believe the electronic copies go back to 1987.

Spiritual Sword Lectureship Books (Getwell Church of Christ)
From what I can tell, these books are not available to the public in PDF form. I would **assume** they still exist in digital form somewhere, but I cannot confirm this, as I have not spoken to anyone at the Getwell Church of Christ about it. This is the same congregation that puts out the Spiritual Sword quarterlies (see below), and those are available on CD as PDFs. If the Spiritual Sword lectureship books are also in a digital format somewhere, they could potentially go back to 1976.

TLC Publishing
Publisher dedicated to “Preserving Restoration Movement Materials.” In looking over the website, I found “125+ Debates in PDF.” I do not see any information about who owns the rights to this work, but that sounds like something that would be a welcome addition to Logos.

James C.:I have just sent out an email to a few of these publishes. My hope is this might get the ball rolling.
Good move. If you have specific contacts you might pass them on to Logos as well.
If I get any responses I will post them here. If I get any good leads who should I contact at Logos?
Some more scholars from the Restoration tradition that would be good to have in Logos.

James, thank you for starting this thread.
My church has a complete set of the Millennial Harbinger in their library, but I would prefer to see them in a Restoration Movement package.
Thanks everyone for these suggestions. We will look into how we can better serve our Restoration movement users. Pointing out specific publishers, authors, etc. definitely helps.
