It'd be nice if we could also have a Methodist BP that included all of John Wesley's works and that could bring back Adam Clarke's works that used to be available in Logos, but that now are buried in dark depths of CP.  I should've bought the Libronix CD when I had the chance.

Are there enough resources to build a base package?

It has been asked for before - see this thread and the included link to an even earlier thread:

Combining Wesleyan and Methodist, it looks a bit iffy for a base package:

There are SDA packages. It would appear there are 1/3 as many SDA resources as Wesleyan/Methodist.

You're correct but I consider SDA an anomaly since lack of sufficient resources is given as why no Orthodox base package is yet available. I also believe SDA resources are under counted as the SKUs are groups not broken apart

What I would recommend is a campaign to add Methodist/Wesleyan books that would have broad enough interest to get produced quickly ... start recommending titles.

Based on the chart one would expect there to be some sort of a push for a Baptist base package. But I really expect there to be Orthodox, Wesleyan/Methodist, and Pentecostal/Charismatic base packages before any Baptist one shows up.

I agree with you ST. And for the Restorationists, we first have to get them a listing.

My real problem is; I want all the base packages.  As reality sets in I must accept that I can not keep up with Logos.

Luckily for me, I don't want them all - but I do want Logos to carry them all.

Without a product manager it's likely that a lot of Methodist resources still lack Methodist tagging.

What resources are available may be as important as how many. E g the delay with St Vladimir's may well have something to do with the still missing Orthodox base packages. Plus there may be some new code they want in place first.

My guess: expect Methodist and Baptist base packages 8-12 months after such product managers start working.

I agree with Logos carrying them all, but as it relates to having them all, I am with ST. Just do not have the funds to buy them all.

When Community Pricing first came out, I used to bid on just about everything, now my interest is waning, but if offered to me (a gift of all that Logos has)  I would accept in a heart beat.

About a Methodist package:   Are there additional Arminian resources in Logos that could be included?  Soon the New Interpreters Bible Commentary and New Interpreters Bible Dictionary will be available.  Then there are many Wesleyan and Methodist scholars, such as John Oswalt, Bill Arnold, Thomas Oden, Ben Witherington, etc., with resources available in Logos.  Martyn Lloyd-Jones was definitely not Arminian, but he did call himself the last of the Calvinist Methodists.  Lloyd-Jones Methodist influences show up in his theology of the Holy Spirit.  Of course, good Bible Dictionaries, the Church Fathers and, Greek tools and lexicons would fit into any package regardless of theology.

I think there is enough to make a core of a Methodist/Wesleyan/Arminian package.

Of course, I would love to see more Methodist, Wesleyan, and Arminian resources available.  The more, the better.  Some potential authors might include E. Stanley Jones, Clovis Chappell, Albert Outer, David Seamonds, Maxie Dunnam, Charles Allen, and Wesley scholars Reginald Ward and Richard Heitzener.   I certainly hope and pray that one day Logos will publish the new critical edition of The Works of John Wesley from Abingdon.  It is the only modern scholarly edition.

I too would like to see a Methodist Package.

Michael I like your signature: I told this to someone last week. Where Wesley says church, I would substitute doctrine.

Thanks Lynden.

That quote from Wesley is very relevant for my denomination - The United Methodist - which is near schism over Biblical authority and the homosexual issue.
