In 5.2b b6 (Windows 8.1) I copied the URL of a Passage List to a Word document with the results below (PL at the back, Word document in front)

Can this be changed so the actual text from the PL is reproduced?

(It's not a Word issue, the same thing happens if copying to a Logos Notes document which is where I saw it first)

Thanks, Graham

What you are seeing is the url. If you want the text in the passage list (or note document, etc) use the print/export feature. If what you mean by text is just the title of the passage list or document, you would need to create a hyperlink in word.

Fredc:
What you are seeing is the url.

I appreciate that - and I am trying to create a link to the URL in a notes document.

What I am struggling with is why all the "strange characters" are displayed.

Can't the punctuation marks and Greek characters be displayed normally?

I think the answer is no. A URL is very restrictive on what characters it can contain. Prohibited characters have to be encoded (in hexadecimal notation). Unfortunately, this can make some very ugly URLs.

Thanks Randy and Fredc

I've got round it by using the Ctrl-K option in the notes document to enter a link

Appreciate the insights.
