Well, amongst these historical events http://www.historyorb.com/events/october/1, and that it may very well be your birthday, it is also when Amazon will begin collecting sales tax in the state of Minnesota USA.

It's a palindrome, whether you're in Europe or the U.S.:  01-10 or 10-01

But I'm guessing you were looking for something more Logos-related.

It's the day History of New Testament Research (3 vols.) ships! (Currently in pre-pub.)

And don't go teasing me that I don't know squat, because I might know more than I'm revealing. Stick out tongue

If it were the release of Logos 6, wouldn't it put Logos in a bit of an awkward position? Are they going to revise all of their base packages for the new release? If not are they going to give L6 to all those who already purchased those new packages? Or are they going to raise the price across the board for the base packages to even the field? Or maybe L6 will be the first version to charge for the software? Even if they release L6 next year it could be a bit awkward.

Since 5.3 hasn't even released nor any RCs, It still doesn't feel like L6 would be anywhere close, but...

Lots of significance to October 1: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_1

Of particular relevance to certain Logos users:

It's the feast day of Thérèse of Lisieux.

It's the date of death of Pope Boniface IX (1404).

The Slavic Orthodox celebrate it as the Protection (or Intercession) of the Theotokos (Mother of God).

Speculation about ship dates is pretty irrelevant because ship dates can always slip.

Well I for one have always been reluctant to whine about ship dates.  Logos employees are fearful of whining and might not ship until they ship.

But for several weeks I've been curious how some really english-y, no-notes, easy to produce resources are seriously stuck (this isn't a whine; rather  logical and intellectual curiousity).

More curious is NA28 though; I've not downloaded the gorgeous New Orleans apparatus Logos already shipped to avoid two major re-indexings.  But I (logically and intellectually) wonder whether I'm looking at 2015 or not?  I'm glad I'm not a seminarian; better to be a Logosian.

And, it begins the countdown to my birthday, which happens to be the day Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenburg Church.

What an amazing coincidence that it would happen not to be that day.

He's just trying to bait people into speculating about L6. Best to ignore him. He might have some inside info (he's leaked something before that got deleted by the Powers that Be), so he's either going to lose his job over it (if he works for Logos) or he's going to get someone else inside fired if he's got a friend there. My advice to "Everett Doonand" (I'm sure it's a pseudonym because no such name shows up on Google except here) is to Zip it!.
