What is it?

Community Tagging allows the same type of disambiguation and identification supplied by the Biblical Referents Dataset to be used in all resources in your library. You have the power to tag nouns and phrases with any person, place, thing, event and more. For example, in a commentary, you can tag "Cephas", "Peter", and "Simon Bar-Jonah" as Peter the apostle, and find mentions of him by any of those names. Or disambiguate Obadiah (the biblical book) from Obadiah (the prophet) or Obadiah, the governor of Ahab's household (1 Ki 18:3-7).

Your community tags are shared with all Logos users, and you get to benefit from the tagging other users perform.

How does it work?

Right click any phrase or word, and the context menu displays a new “Add Community tag” feature. Select this command, and a pop-up will appear in which you can choose relevant, preselected tags. Community Tags make your searches even better by linking similar content across your library. Plus, you can see where other users have tagged their resources by selecting the “Show tags” visual filter.

This is the perfect tool for students and teachers: enhance your favorite resources with rich markup and benefit from other users’ discoveries.

How do I get it?

This feature is available in Core Crossgrade and higher and in Starter level base packages and higher
