Forced to "Force Quit" OSX 10.10

Hi Friends,

Now that I have downloaded L6, I am unable to "Quit" on my Mac OS X 10.10.  When I perform "control/click" Logos disappears from my screen, but doesn't close completely.  The drive is still visible on the Desktop.  When I attempt to "eject" the drive, I get a message, "The disk "Logos" couldn't be ejected because "Logos Bible Software 6" is using it."  Consequently, I have to go to the Apple menu and click "Force Quit."

Hope that makes sense and someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Also, is there supposed to be more on the "menu bar" besides "Logos", like 'File, Edit, etc."?

Start by trying a restart of your computer.

yes. It sounds like you haven't finished installing it, or there was some sort of corruption.

Thank you!  A restart did the trick.

I was able to restart on my macbook and everything works fine, but now I'm trying to download L6 on my Mac and I'm having the same problem as before, yet now a restart doesn't do the trick :/

Any other thoughts?

There is a (now) known problem with Logos and Yosemite (OS X 10.10) with downloads. Tongue Tied
