If I go to Genesis 1:1 in the Net Bible and open the Power Lookup the first note is still truncated. This was supposed to be fixed in this beta release.
Is anyone else seeing this?
Blessings,
Dave
Same for me.
n the Net Bible and open the Power Lookup the first note is still truncated
If you double click on it the whole note will be available--a window will open and you will be able to scroll to the very end. BUT YES, it still is truncated on a simple mouse over and in the power tool.-- it will end in the middle of a sentence with the letters"vv" etc
Steve
I believe that the behavior that a hover just gets a portion and a click gets the whole box is the design intent....kind of like a "quick look" as opposed to "opening the whole book...."
You may very well be correct, Bob, but I thought that some of us had tried "clicking" in earlier versions and had not gotten past that "v v" that just seemed to stop in the middle of a sentence.?
Anyways, I'm just relieved to know that double-clicking it can retrieve the whole note. It is VERY lengthy.
Hovering over a note gives a truncated view of the note. This is of necessity since you can't grab a scroll bar without unhovering over the note anyway. I'm cool with that.
I have verified that the problem with clicking on the note resulting in a truncated view if program scaling is greater than 100% is indeed fixed. Yeah.
However, I am deeply disappointed that the Information and Power Lookup windows truncate long footnotes. This happens without any indication. I request the following changes:
1) When a footnote is truncated in the Information or Power Lookup tools, indicate this with a trailing "...".
2) Also please provide a "More" button that will expand the full note within the Information and Power Lookup Tools.
3) Provide an option to always expand full footnotes in Information and Power Lookup tools.
Thank you,
Jeff

Great suggestions, Jeff!

This is a "bug" in the release notes. [:)]
It'll actually be fixed in Beta 4; I've deleted that line from the "Bug Fixes" list.
