Hey

I am trying to download logos5 for mac as logos 6 keeps crashing (and technical support seems to have no time for me). But it takes ages and I have to restart over and over again. Are others having same problem?

Are you running Yosemite? If so there are some known problems.

But it would be worth trying to get Logos 6 working? What are the details of the problem, when does it crash?

Thanks for the logs.

I'm sorry I'm not at my computer at the moment so can't look at the logs but hopefully someone will be able to.

And I expect some Mac users will be able to comment on the download issues. I understand some users have found using an Ethernet cable to connect the computer to Internet as opposed to wifi has helped.

And, just to clarify, are you trying to run Logos 6 on Windows or Mac OS? Just picking up on your "windowscomputer" comment

Shouldnt be a problem but hopefully we can work out why L6 is crashing so you can upgrade both

Hi Ole

Did you get Logos 5 working ok on your Mac?

And I have had a chance to look at your Windows log. It looks as though Logos crashed after doing a search and it looks similar to a problem which is fixed in service release 1.

Can you start up Logos 6 on your Windows Computer to a blank layout (to prevent any searches running automatically) - you can do this by pressing "Ctrl" while Logos is starting - and then update to the latest version (which is 6.0a SR2).

You should be able to trigger the update by typing the command "update now" into the command box

Please let us know how you get on

Graham

Hey Graham

Logos5 is running well so fare.

I am just downloading logs6 for windows again, running it on my iMac using parallels desktop. so, I think I will get the newest update. I will be back, when the installation is finished.

Is there a Logos.log file as well?

It should be in the same place as the others.

Please ensure you have diagnostic logging enabled - as per https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging - and try again

Thanks Ole

It looks like a resource problem but I can't work out what the issue is.

Hopefully someone with more expertise will be able to advise.

You have problems with notes which causes the Document Indexer to crash. Start Logos whilst holding CTRL key and then sign-in (should open a blank layout) and change or delete some recent notes made by selecting text. Then try starting Logos normally.  If Logos won't start withoiut crashing call Tech Support.
