I just tried to install the SIL keyboard driver on Word 2013. It seemed to install ok, but when I type in Hebrew the keyboard layout seems to have changed. When I type a lamed (L) I get a final pe and when I type a kaf (K) I get a lamed, etc. Has anyone installed it successfully that might know what...

Bruce, the main advantage of DCH is that it covers a much broader range of Hebrew texts than just the Bible. It is the only major dictionary of ancient Hebrew that includes all the Dead Sea Scrolls and many ancient Hebrew inscriptions. This contrasts with BDB, still very useful for biblical Hebrew but...

I have noticed a small problem with the INFO windows when working with the Hebrew text. Words in Hebrew that begin with prepositions or conjunctions only display translations of the prepositions and conjunctions but not translation information of the main word itself. Take as an example Psalm 35:13 ו...

My institution recently switched machines, so I am now operating Win 7 instead of Win XP, with Logos 4. I recently had to type some Hebrew in MS Word, so I switched to the Logos Hebrew keyboard. To help me type, I also called up the Windows on-screen keyboard. But I found that the on-screen keyboard...

Hi, Just wondering if it is possible to set the 'Word by word' function in the exegetical guide using the BHS/WIVU without the ESV text being displayed next to it? When doing work with the USB4, no English text is provided in parallel with the greek and I am just wondering if the same effect can be achieved...

"Created" is a bogus word. Nothing is "created", only "made" or "formed" (in scripture). In philosophy, yes, but in scripture no. If you replace "created" (which suggests instant fiat) with "made" you can simply use the imperfect: "the god was forming man into a statue of himself.." He was clearly *sculpting...

Hey everyone, I found this forum recently and thought it would be a good place to ask a question. I'm a Christian who is very interested in learning Hebrew and learning more about Israel and how the news there affects Christians. I think I found some possible good ways to do so, but I'm not sure... any...

Normal 0 21 false false false ES-CR X-NONE X-NONE I was wondering, is it worth studying Greek? Is Greek really important for understanding the Gospel? Say , "faith", its meaning, its roots in Hebrew ( first appears in Exodus 17.12, meaning " steady"), does it have anything to do with the concepts of...

I recently upgraded to Office 2010. I've discovered I have no Greek or Hebrew fonts in WORD 2010. Can anyone recommend a course of action? What have YOU done if you're using WORD 2010? Thanks in advance for any direction you can give.
