  • Re: Wrong time for collections?

Not only that, I think it's unfortunate that anyone would have to invest any time whatsoever in defining collections. A basic set of useful collections should be shipped with the product. Only real geeks with weird needs for strange combinations of books in their collections should need to monkey...

  • Wrong time for collections?

I know much has already been said about collections and perhaps all I will say here is somewhere in the mass of previous threads. I have come to the conclusion that IT IS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE to invest considerable work in defining collections AT THIS POINT. Explanation : The metadata is so inconsistent...

  • Re: Some disappointments with Logos 4

I ordered Logos 4 the day it came out. I have to say that I am a bit disappointed. It bothers me that I have to reload my 'collections' every time I go to a new passage. You are obviously using collections in a way I don't use them. Would you describe what your process is here? What are you...

  • Two questions about COLLECTIONS

Can I save a search of a collection? I do not mean the result of a search. I often search a collection of illustration, quotation, anecdotal material for related stories, quotes, etc. I do this often enough that it would be handy to set a search that I could open without restarting the search tool from...

  • Why I want to pitch Logos 4

Sorry for the hate mail, but after beta testing this program and spending countless hours messing with it, I am concluding that Logos 4 is a waste of my time. The most powerful features of Logos 3 are not there, and what really disturbs me is that I don't even see them on the list of "Missing...

  • Passage Guide search does not display Theological Journal collection

Does anyone know how to get Logos 4 to display Theological Journals when doing a Passage Guide search? With the old system those journals would show up when doing a Passage Gudie search. Thanks, Larry Dix

  • Re: New collections explained & Syntax examples

I have a collection of my best commentaries. Whether from my experience or according to the rating on the Bestcommentaries.com I rated commentaries. Number one in rating for the given Bible book? I give it 5 stars. Then I created a collection with just simple string: type:"Bible Commentary"...

  • On prioritization, collections and parallel resources

In Logos 3 I made a collection of parallel resources called "My Bibles" which comprised my most commonly referred to Bibles. When such a Bible was open, I could "toggle" between them. I assume that that is not a "feature" in Logos 4, correct? Is the "prioritization"...
