  • Using Logos 4 to construct a Bible study

I have been working with Logos 4, to build a Bible study in Daniel. From the first "USA today" screen, I used the little search window, to type "Daniel 1:1". Much to my amazement, all these windows opened up! Wowsers. I saw some photos of people and coins, plus some other stuff, which...

  • Happy, happy, happy

Bob et al. The title says it all, but let me expound. I discovered "Collections"! So having numerous volumes of Lutheran resources, I started with the title "Lutheran" for my collection and specified "Concordia" (for publishing house). Amazingly, all these resources fill...

  • Re: Passage Guide Commentary Anomaly

Under Commentaries I would not expect to find isolated references to the passage + 14-18 is outside the range of your passage! Smells like a BUG. I agree with Dave. Sounds like an indexing issue. Jack are you able to provide some screenshots for Logos to see this? Jason

  • Organizing library

In adding tags that make the library useful to me, I discover that the provided categories combine two items that I've never thought of as the same: commentaries and Bible studies. By Bible studies I mean those books that are written for the average non-seminarian that include study hints and questions...

  • Application & preaching/teaching commentary

With the recent announcement of the NIC commentary and commentaries from Zondervan I would like to ask what commentary you most recommend for application to life today and preaching/teaching ideas. I have a good selection of technical, informative, factual, etc. commentaries so I am not looking for more...

  • Re: New to Logos: Best Commentary choice(s) on a budget

I bought the Scholar's Library which gave quite a selection of commentaries. After using it for a while, there was a lot of similarity between them around the interpretation of biblical passages. The JPS set of commentaries give a different perspective altogether because they come from a Judaic point...

  • New to Logos: Best Commentary choice(s) on a budget

I'm new to Logos and I'm trying to decide on a commentary approach that best suits my needs and gets me by on a budget of less then $400. Just to give you a clue as to the type of commentary I'm looking for, if I had the budget, I'd surely go for the pre-pub NICOT/NICNT set. EBC would...

  • Commentaries from COePA (Coptic Orthodox)

I would very much like to have the PDF commentaries from http://www.coepa.org/downDetails.php?nav=downloads&cat_id=1&subcat_id=23&thrdcat_id=47 availble in Logos format. Since they are already in electronic format and available online for free, I can't imagine that COePA would require...

  • Commentaries

Hi Everyone, I am looking for a good commentary to use in my study time. I am wary to grab just any old one off the shelf and thought I would ask what all of you would recommend. Thanks.
