  • Hyperlink from PPT to Libronix

Sometime ago in the NGs there was a short discussion as a side issue to another topic dealing with the funky error message that Windows issues when clicking on a hyperlink in an active PowerPoint slide to a specified location in a Libronix book. Well, I cannot find that discussion. So, does anyone know...

  • Re: Filtering

I use the sorting and filtering procedure to sort my messages. I have it set that I only see threads that have unread messages in the last 48 hours. It has made the thread list manageable in size. I click on the last post if I am interested in reading that thread. If I am not interested, then I just...

  • Re: Visual recognition of replies

There is a quote mechanism in the Forums (as I have just used) just hit reply on the post you want to reply to, and hit the quote button you see in blue below. I hope htis helps the text you are refering to. The problem with this "mechanism" as you call it is that it depends on the sender rather than...

  • Re: Am I going to have to monitor the forum and the NG also?

Is the old information from the NG going to be imported to this forum archive or do I now have to keep both so I can not only read new posts on the NG but also have access to all of the old info? We will not be able to move old content from the newsgroups over. The current plan is that the newsgroups...

  • New Place to Discuss?

Hey Guys! So is this the new place to discuss Logos software? Meaning, do I need to unsubscribe from the newsgroups in my news reader? I really like the new forum layout. Very clean and easy to use. Seems more powerful as well. Plus it'll probably cut down on SPAM. One quick question. Is there anyway...

  • Re: What do you think of web forums instead of newsgroups?

Well, I am trying my best but still find it hard to move through the posts I want to read. It looks much more unclear than in the newsgroups. I hope I will adjust to is eventually. I tried RSS. I don't think it is a solution to make it more clear. We will see.

Prefer: Newsgroups Pros of Forums: 1. Mobility - I am often on the road using different computers. The forums will allow access from any computer. (This is possible with the newsgroups, but you end up downloaded all messages so it isn't a pracical possibility.) 2. Replies to email - It's nice that replies...

  • Re: What do you think of web forums instead of newsgroups?

I have actively followed newsgroups for four years. There are both advantages and disadvantages to newsgroups/forums. I had Thunderbird set to only show unread messages. I normally only looked at new messages and only rarely went back to see previous messages. Newsgroups are easy to see what is new and...

  • Where are the posts?

It seems that a great many people like the new format (I don't - but then I resist change), but it looks like all the conversation has stopped. Both here and on the newsgroups. I do not think that was Bob's intention. Let's see some discussion if this really is important to you. Floyd
