• Re: Jewish Study Bible?
So, the Jewish Study Bible (JSB) can be seen as a short form of the JPS Tanakh Commentary (JPSTC) which does not cover the whole OT/Jewish Bible?
No, they are completely separate but from the same publisher and a similar
do they draw on Mishna, Talmud and Midrash?
viewpoint. Yes [quote...

  • Re: NIDB compared to ISBE and Anchor-Yale

It is a good work and is somewhat more up to date than Anchor or ISBE.... That being said it is not nearly in depth as the previous two. Anchor is hands done the best in my mind. ISBE coming 2nd... that being said I tend to go to NIDB first and then jump on to the others if i feel i need more, but I would not call it one to have by itself. Examples...

2 Gospel samples, Psalm 1, And small as it may sound Genesis 1:1 I am not sure if Logos has the notes integrated or if like Accordance it has the notes as a separate module. -Dan b. The author’s comment (3:16-21) 16 Commentators are divided as to whether vv.16-21 are a direct continuation of the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus or whether...

  • Re: BUG: Resource not showing in parallel passages
Because this is classified as a harmony, I expected it to show under parallel passages and wondered how the commentary portion was handled. However, this resource does not appear in the parallel passages section of the Guides.
I will create a case for Development to investigate this issue.
I would...

  • Re: From Logos: Do you have Bible photos/media you want to share?

I just uploaded 43 selected pictures from our trip to Israel in 2012. I'll let you know how the tagging goes. I uploaded the full-sized files (4272 X 2828), so it's taking a while to upload. Consider the larger file size part of the experiment. I wonder there would be a way to consider all photos as "common law" copyrighted unless otherwise specified...

  • SUGGESTION: PCUSA worship resources

These resources are available as free downloads at http://www.thepresbyterianleader.com/Pages/About/Worship-Resource-Library.aspx However, it would be best to have them in Logos. If Logos is unable to provide these resources, someone should request permission to share them as PBs. Companion to the Book of Common Worship Published on the tenth anniversary...
