  • Tagging personal Bible

I used wildcards to tag the entire book of Deuteronomy today, and for some reason nine verses out of the entire book returned errors in the log and the tagging appears in the text in Logos. Please help me understand how to correct this. First, the log: [Warning] Unrecognized milestone Bible:Deuteronômio 2:38 [Warning] Unrecognized milestone Bible:Deuteronômio...

Hello all, Here's an update after a couple days of use. Indexer stopped pegging my CPU after 30 minutes and went down to just 30% usage of the CPU. It then ran for about 4 hours, indexing my 12GB library. That's not bad. I could have also paused it, running it a more opportune time. This means the indexer will not completely drain my battery with updates...

  • TIP of the day: from the blogs - using the Church Fathers, manuscripts and critical apparatus (think NT281)

Sorry for a third from the blogs post rather than the typical two but this should be of special interested to those who just finished NT281 for the Mobile Ed Summer term. From Biblical Hermeneutics comes a question and its responses regarding John 1:18: The Question: [quote] I was reading my New King James version of the Bible and found a footnote for...

  • Re: Please share with us what the hang up is on PPB to Mobile

If there was a simplistic answer, we'd share it. It is a complicated, muddy issue, though. - There are surprising technical difficulties: chief among them are that we don't do a local index on mobile devices. (Yet. And maybe never. But that's a whole technical problem itself.) So we have to search the whole catalog on the server, and that whole catalog...

I do love this work, I do not own it in Logos, but have it in OT as it was significantly cheaper there. It is a good work well worth having but as noted it is hardly exhaustive or the depth one one would find in a multivolume work. -dan Here is a sample - Martin Luther: Luther, Martin Born, on his mother’s side, into the pious Lindemann family, Martin...

Early American Imprints, 1639-1800 a.k.a. Library of Early American History (4,977 docs.) is one of Faithlife's minimally tagged, mass conversion products. This has several consequences: it provides us with direct access to some very interesting materials we are otherwise inapt to find it provides fertile ground for the use of community tags when used...

Since the launch of Logos 4, I've tried to write Buyer's Guides to Logos Base packages. Here are my belated opinions on Logos 6 Silver packages. Silver contains all the resources in Bronze, and is a worthwhile...
