  • Re: Some licenses lost after first-run setup

Thanks; those are helpful. And this morning, the icon for the shortcut to Interactive above appeared and when clicking it, instead of saying I don't own a license to the interactive, it allowed me to download it. OTOH, there are other weird behaviors. For example, in the Mobile Ed course I was working on and which I had to re-download manually, my highlights

  • Interactive resource licenses didn't come back after Recommended first-run setup

Hi, I reformatted my system and reinstalled Logos. Some of my resources are no longer available to me. Using the new first-run setup experience, I chose to try to download only the Recommended resources to see how it goes. (Searching for something not available locally, finding it in the cloud and then downloading it and seeing how the search then sees

  • Crash when trying to open resources

Hi, when I try to browse to open a new resource, I experience a crash. The logs report this when I click on the Library icon (or on "+" for a new resource tab): Error ID: 3569 Error detail: FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.ParseDouble (System

  • Re: Please enable the independent choice of languages for various features in Logos.

I am so thankful for this! Up until last week-end (prior to 7.18), my English UI's export of my sermon made the bible references appear English on the Proclaim slides (both their title and the displayed reference) even though I was reading from French translations. Will the same happen next time when I export my sermon document to Proclaim, or will

  • Re: New Feature: Sermon Editor

Do you plan to bring text markup support parity to what's available in Proclaim? For now I can't really use the Sermon editor to edit slides to the same level of detail and interaction that I can in Proclaim. 2 things come to mind that I'm missing the most. I use them all the time since they were offered to Proclaim users: Ability to introduce content

Thanks, I had the same issue and rebooting Logos solved it.

  • Re: Consistently very slow startups

[quote user="Mark Barnes"] I suspect that the problem was the way the collections were set up. It sounds like you had dozens of similar collections, many of which were very complex (denominational). If you want to create multiple collections all based on the same denominational tagging, you should use compound collections, rather than pasting in the

[quote user="Andrew Baguley"] Thanks for the post, Daniel. Having taken a quick look at the logs you provided, it looks like there was a problem with some of the collections you had that cost a few seconds each on start-up. It would be good if someone at Logos could look at this. The collections that slowed down your start-up were running more than

Hello, having been (probably) naïve in configuring dozens of those collections, I didn't realize how it slowed down my Logos app's startup time . I wanted to share that here in case someone else would be affected like I've been. (And it may be that it was just my collections that got corrupted, and not directly them being the cause of my issues, who

Thank you all so, so much ! Wow, I saw what you mean in the logs! Those search requests must have been quite costly to run, seeing them spelled out like that in the logs! I did configure a lot of suggested custom Collections something like one year ago (theological collections and denominational collections coming out of some Community project here

  • Consistently very slow startups

Hello fellow brothers and sisters, In the past months, Logos has started using up more than 100% CPU for approx. 5 minutes on each startup before being usable by yours truly, my perplexed self. Upon each startup, for a few minutes, its screen is kind of blank; after that, for a few minutes, I see my panels appear and their contents all seem ready, but

Is it just me or does this release really smoothes the scrolling performance through books? I can now actually read while I scroll - it's that smooth; it's no more chunk-scrolling. I found nothing about this potential change in the release notes. (But you'd say: who cares about release notes if "experience notes" show something to be true... I was curious

Hi Mike and all, Thanks for the answers, I had no apps hogging either the CPU or the RAM while reproducing the issue. And rebooting doesn't help. I also fired up Logos on a MacBook Pro Late 2013 with 16G of RAM and a much better video card. All the same behavior happens on that computer too, except that the fading is very, very smooth. It still takes

  • How to Disable the Reading View fading

Hi, when I enter and leave the Reading View, there's a fading that happens that's very slow (on the order of 2-3 seconds). Oftentimes, I find it disrupts my ability to switch contexts or e.g. take notes quickly while listening to a sermon. Moreover, there's some kind of panel rearrangement flashing that happens that shows me the software is already
