Hi, I opened the program, searched for Isa 40:28-31, started reading and while scrolling down, the program just quit. Logs are attached. Did I do this bug report right? Bryan 846220.Archive.zip

Thanks for the help, Mike (and you too, Keep Smiling). I'm down to only 276mb on my may internet allowance (I have a 4GB/month plan which costs me over US$50), so I'll probably come back to this around the first of June. Unless of course I get frustrated enough to take Mike up on his offer in which case I'll be enjoying some of that famous Scottish

Thanks for your valuable help, Mike. I was able to get as far as step 2, but when I open Logos to do step 3 and go to "preferences" there is nothing in that window. It just says, "No view exists for this panel kind". The Alpha version that I have (which I got on DVD from Logos some time ago) is Alpha 8. I'm still very nervous that Logos may be doing

  • Handling internet downloads

I have just installed the Alpha from the DVD (not sure which alpha version it is yet). The first thing that occurs is that it begins to download resources. It states that it is trying to download 6.96 GB. I read about this in the FAQ, but my question is the following... I have very expensive internet access ( I live in Asia ) and I intentionally bought

  • jumping forward to "additional notes" in a commentary

Hi all, Can anyone help me on this simple question? When reading a commentary (specifically, I'm reading D.A. Carson's commentary on John in the Pillar series), I want to view the "additional notes" which he references in the body of the commentary. The words "additional notes" are written in red, but the only way I can see the actual note is by clicking

  • Re: What is your most desired missing feature to be included in the next Mac version?

One other thing, this is resource specific... I would like my John Piper sermon collection to be more searchable. On the Desiring God website, the sermons can be searched by theme or by sermon text, but in the Logos collection, if you type a reference, you will pull up every sermon that mentions the text, and not just the sermons that have that reference

Scott, I was told by a Logos salesman in October that they would *never* have the resources available for Kindle or any other book reader. I thought that was an amazing statement based on the growing popularity of book readers. My feature vote is rather simple: I want the author's name ALWAYS listed with the resource. When I do a search from the home

Many thanks again for this great help. On the issue of the "set reference target", here is exactly what I did. Opened the passage guide and typed "1 John 5:1-5" Then opened the New American Standard Commentary from the search results. Then opened the Bible text by clicking on the hyperlink at the top of the search results. (right next to the word "Passage

OK, you guys have had your fun... now let's see if you can earn your spurs ( or should I say lightsabers ) as Logos geeks... I downloaded all the instructional videos I could find and it really helped a lot to understand the basics of the program, but here are a few lingering questions. 1) the "set reference target" doesn't work for me the way the video

Donovan, Thanks for your detailed help. I just wrote a detailed response with everything that came up when I tried to follow your instructions. Unfortunately, it got lost when I tried to post it and I don't have the heart to re-type it all, plus I need to take my teenage son out on a father/son date. Suffice it to say that you got me inching in the

Thanks, guys, I may try skype, but again, I have to do that after 11pm due to being on the other side of the world and also due to internet expense. I doubt seriously there are any logos users in my country (trust me). Is there a place on the forums to get help for practical usage questions like the ones I posted above?

  • some very simple help needed

Help! I'm floundering! I have just installed Logos for Mac and I've spent almost an entire day trying to figure out how to do some very basic stuff and I am just not getting it. I thought I was a pretty intuitive guy when it came to new software, but I'm totally lost here. First question: Can someone point me to the right place to get help for learning

  • Re: Another $70?

I read most of this thread and it was very... well, shall we say.. confusing. I JUST bought Logos for the Mac for the first time ever. I was never a Windows user. I have waited literally for years to have Logos principally as an electronic library since I live overseas. I have used Bibleworks and really liked it, but it couldn't offer me what Logos
