Nice and simple. I do wish I could highlight a word and pop up the meaning. It's helpful to see the original language, meaning, and usage.

  • Re: Ipad: did you go wifi or include 3g?

I don't think I answered all your questions. Our church has wifi and posts the sermon outline in ppt on its website ( www.slbc.org ). My wife toggles between the Bible app and the sermon outline and adds notes via the virtual and silent keyboard. I don't consider the iPad to be a heavy duty keyboard entry device, but it is okay for light notes. My reason

We went with 16 GB and 3G. My MIL is in her 80s and is not tech savvy. When we visit we are without Internet connection. So, we buy a 1-month subscription to 3G at the higher data transfer rate and are quick to cancel the auto renewal after one month. 3G allows you to use the iPad on road trips, which may be very beneficial to many. Mapping and GPS

  • Re: What can you LOGOS do with an IPAD?

I think it is important to mention here, since many will read this who do not own an iPad, that apps written for an iPod will run on an iPad. However, apps written exclusively for an iPad will not run on an iPod. The current Logos app is designed to run on both iPod and iPad. That is probably the most efficient use of time and talent at Logos for now

Since this is a Logos forum, I did not want to mention a competitor's product by name without being asked. I consider it poor form to use one forum to promote a competor's product. I know that compassions can run high on all manner of products and services for and against. I value Logos for setting up forums on its site to begin with. As a capitalist

Olive Tree. I already had purchased some of its resources for my PDA. So, I was able to bring them over to the iPad. Of course, Olive Tree has many free resources as well. You can visit the website and poke around. The Logos app for the iPad is more robust in its capabilities than OT, but I think the user interface and split screen are much more friendly

The iPad is simply easier and more discreet to use in the worship service than a notebook. My wife never liked the idea of using a keyboard and a vertical screen because it seemed to disruptive to others in church. However, she loves the iPad to follow the sermon. Our church has wireless and she has access to various resources. She goes online to get

  • Re: What I want to do with prayer lists

It seems we are still waiting for most of this functionality. Let's keep the pressure on Logos to elevate these suggestions to getting them done. It's been several months since I revisited this issue. Logos has added the functions of hovering and light grey partial details. The first is an improvement it promised. But your list is much more significant

Dittos on bullets 2, 3, and 4. I may have been the first to request upgrading the Prayer List feature in L4 when it was enabled for enhanced capabilities. I have more than one prayer list, e.g., Personal, Missionaries, and Sunday School Class, and wish to update various items in each one in the Answer column. However, entering anything in the Answer

  • Re: Would like option for Prayer List - "answered"

That's where my list is, i.e., on the Notes side. The list is pretty extensive, and not all items have answeres or even a status comment. Then, if I put an answer or status to any on the right side, it recategorizes the whole shebang as "answered". Am I missing something here?

  • Would like option for Prayer List - "answered"

I love the new Prayer List option. I have set up three different lists and on different time intervals (e.g., every day personal list, every 2 day Sunday school list, every 3 day missionary list). I know that the programmers are/will be working on making a list stay visible when hovering over it. An issue that has not been raised yet in the forum is

  • Need Copy & Paste a/o Print Functionality in L4

I've spent most of the afternoon trying to find a thread in the Logos 4 forum on how to copy and paste a report into Word so I can have an external & hardcopy reference on a particular word study from Bible Search Results. I could not highlight the results and use Ctrl-C or right click to copy it. There simply is no way to get the information into Word

  • Re: Text comparison missing feature/problem

After two contacts with tech support, I was told that the comparison tool is not available as an add-in to V4. You must have the Scholar's edition or higher in V4 to have the tool with the icons and the demo uses the higher version. It doesn't appear for now that add-ins will be made available in the future, even for purchase, for the lower base editions

I apologize for not being totally accurate on my previous post. After further examination, the upgrade page at http://www.logos.com/upgrade shows at the bottom of the Logos edition comparison chart under Features and Databases that this feature is included at the Languages and higher editions (not in the Leader's and below). I am not sure how to get

  • Re: Text comparison missing feature/problem

Logos needs to remedy this problem. After looking at the promo before buying Version 3, I was puzzled why I did not have this feature in the Bible Study Library edition after I purchased it. I discovered it was an add-in at extra cost. Before upgrading to V4, I reviewed its features and it again promoted this text comparison feature. However, after
