It's working fine for me the last 24 hours or so. No crashes.
Am I missing something here? On my macbook there is a checkbox that tells the computer to adjust brightness automatically. The brightness slider still works to set a base level and the screen and keyboard brightness adjust from that level in response to changes in ambient light.
I have the same thing on my iMac (it may be

  • BUG/SUGGESTION: Logos 4 Mac, Change "Bring All To Front" to "Bring All to Front"

I was setting the keyboard shortcut today from the menu command: "Bring All To Front" when I noticed that Logos capitalizes the "T" in "to" while Apple does not. I had to make two entries for my shortcut, one for Logos, the other for all the other apps on my Mac. I know this isn't a big deal, but it would be nice to be consistent. Thanks.

  • Re: Piper's Sermon Manuscript Library: Arcing?

Sorry, the Arcing is not included. Also, the picture of the notes that you linked to are Piper's exegetical "scratchings" and not the sermon -- that's just a single half sheet of paper that he uses. The actual manuscript is typed from beginning to end and is ten double-spaced pages. Source: http://www.desiringgod.org/blog/posts/how-does-john-piper-prepare

  • Re: Copying Commentary Text into Pages Doesn't Include Citation

Clark, It should work as you have described for copying commentaries. Here's an example that I just did: What version of Pages are you using? Is it Pages 09? If not, you'll have to upgrade to Pages 09. If you have Pages 09, try pasting into a plain text TextEdit document and see what you get. It should look like this: Let us know what happens...

  • Re: After upgrade to Mountain Lion Logos cancels shutdown

I and others have had this happen on Lion as well. Here's another thread about it: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/51334/377859.aspx#377859 The reason it occurs has to do with Logos taking too long to sync when it is shutdown. The only solution right now is to quit Logos manually before shutting your computer off.

  • Re: Copy Bible Verses

What Alabama has said is correct, if you do not start Logos with the home page (the one with all the news items on it). Do you start with a layout (like what Alabama's above), or do you start with the home page? If the latter is true, then click the customize button in the lower left of the homepage and deselect "Show home page at startup." After that

Yes, it's frustrating, but there isn't a way to disable gestures. Here's a couple threads about this issue: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41907.aspx http://community.logos.com/forums/t/49991.aspx There's also a UserVoice suggestion related to this issue specifically: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-4/suggestions/2566953

Because the audio for the Hebrew pronunciations is not yet complete (Logos has had to spend a very long time on it). You can pre-order here: http://www.logos.com/product/5960/hebrew-audio-pronunciations

  • Re: Want to buy Books, but struggle with Whole Sets

I understand the frustration completely, but the short answer is that Logos has to sell the books the way the publisher wants them sold. If the publisher won't allow them to break up the set, then they cannot do it. There is a forum thread that keeps tabs on collections that are broken up for individual sale: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41600

James Boice was the pastor of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia from 1968-2000 — he stands in the Reformed tradition. He is evangelical. His commentaries are based off from his sermons — while they are not technical, they are quite detailed and well-researched. He had degrees from Harvard, Princeton, and the University of Basel.
The Apple store told me that some applications would not transfer so I was concerned that Logos 4 might be one of them.
I think perhaps they were talking about Apps that worked on an older Operating System (e.g., Leopard (10.5) or Snow Leopard (10.6)) that won't work on the new operating system (Lion (10.7)).

If the Apple Store transfers your User Folder (assuming you are already on a Mac), then you will be ready to go from the get-go. All the Logos resources are in the User Folder. Applications can also be transferred when setting up a new Mac, so the Logos4Mac app itself will come over too. I would just ask them if they would transfer everything, just
Every one that owns a base package even the cheapest one, owns the selected sermons by George Whitefield.
Where did you find this out? According to the comparison chart , it is not in the Home, Bible Study, or Original Languages base packages. I agree, however, I was bummed to find I already had the free book of the month.
