  • Logos 5 installation does not run

Just downloaded & installed Logos 5 Programme will not run - just displays Logos & then "stopped working" message. Tried rebooting - still will not run Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2. 32 bit, 4GB RAM 2.4GHz processor A very bad start! Any suggestions? In Australia - ringing Logos at international rates not an option. Urgent - please help

  • Re: Official: Minimum Crossgrade and free engine download are coming!

Thanks for the information. What I want to be able to do is purchase ALL (not most) of Logos 5 new features/data sets without purchasing any new books - unless they are necesary for the new functionality. None of the books in the L5 Gold upgrade seemed of much value - and hardly any were 'New to me'. So, will ALL of the new features be available in

Hi Steve Sermonfile working well & have imported a few sermons already - quite fast. Do you know if the sermon file created on one computer can be transported to another computer - I am creating on home computer but would like to use the files at the church when I am there. Thanks Brian

Hi Steve Thanks for helpful reply re Sermon FIle using PBB - it worked immediately & much, much better than old Logos 3.0 version. I've been transported to the third heaven! - well maybe the second. Brian

  • Logos 5 sermon file add in

My greatest disappointment with Logos 4 - and now Logos 5 - is that the Sermon File add in has not been provided. It was simply the best resource for a pastor to compile sermons & sermon illustrations. I haven't used PBB but it does not appear to have the same functionality. Some of the new Logos 5 features look terrific - but I looked in vain for my

  • Re: Sermon File

I am still hoping against hope that the Sermon File feature will be implemented in Logos 4. I found that afer I had imported my sermon file book in L3 into L4, further updates of the file in L3 were not recognized by Logos 4 as an updated book. Have you any suggestions? I cannot understand why Logos have gone silent & failed to honour their very definite

  • Re: So... when can I just get a refund for the Sermon File Add-in?

This must be the problem - not enough people did use Sermonfile and thus have not realized just how good it was. As a pastor / preaching I have been hanging out for it for 2 years - it was one of my favourite features of Logos 3. Is there any way that a straight answer can be obtained from Logos re Sermonfile? I have grown used to the company going

I vote YES - please get it running ASAP - but can't see how to register vote.

I too am keen to see the SERMONFILE ADD-IN carried across from L3. Sermonfile was excellent & simply the best way to store & index sermons & illustrations. I don't understand the delay - nor the annoying silence by Logos (they did promised this feature ages ago!) - and I don't understand why there is not more of a demand & outcry from every pastor using

  • Re: Copy Bible Verses - multiple non-continuous references

Hi Roger Yes this does work but not if you cop the example from the original post - for some reason the format changes & semi-colons are replaced by commas. You need to type the example in again exactly as displayed i.e Jn 3:1-20 , 24 ; Rom 3:21 ; Job 19:25-26 (in fact, I tried copying what I have just typed in this reply and it does NOT work - the

  • Re: Audio Volume

Yes - same here. Volume changes are simply unacceptable. I would expect this problem to be fixed ASAP or full refund. I am also having problems with some files taking a long time to load - have had to reboot. I am also looking for someone who can tell me how to have the whole DVD come up with chapter headings for each topic - rather than having to load

  • Re: Highlighting function

I think that the best form of highlighting is that offered by MS Word's "paste format" function. A paint brush symbol displays over the mouse cursor showing that it it is on & it is cleared by simply pressing ESCAPE. In the meantime you can simply go on reading and paste the same format over multiple words & phrases without your hand ever leaving the

  • Re: Highlighting function

Re Highlighting text in L4 Thanks for the suggestion. CTRL-K is at least an improvement - but it is a far cry from the paste format function in MS Word. When I am highlighting a printed text, I will usually have my yellow highlighter in hand and simply highlight text as I go. I don't have to put down the highlighter and pick it up again each time I

  • Re: Bible search - temporary range

Re temporary search ranges L3 allowed creation of temporary search ranges "on the fly" with no requirement to save the range. L4, as far as I can see, requires that the search range be saved, whether named or not, before a search can be done. e.g. if I want to search Luke 1-4 for 'Caesar' I have to save the untitled range as Luke 1-4 before I can proceed

Logos 3.0g still refuses to load the workspace set under Tools/Options/General. In fact the prog. appears to ignore the settings becasue I can set it to load a blank workspace & it still loads a workspace named "ACTS". Resources available on 3.0e DVD - unlocked - i.e. resources will read from DVD & are on HDD in Resources folder - but will not read

  • Logos 3.0g fails to clear list of pre-pubs

Logos 3.0g fails to clear the list of previously viewed pre-publications. So the list keeps growing. The problem started when the Creamer commentary on Revelation was first advertised - so it, and a list of others keeps coming up rather than just the new, yet-to be viewed, pre-pubs. Any thoughts? Thanks

  • Logos 3.0g - resources transferred to HDD but not accessible

Since installing Logos 4.0 Platinum, new resources have become available - the A.W. Pink collection. for example. Logos 3.0g Location Manager referred me to the Logos 3.0e DVD as the source for these files. I duly copied them to my HDD using location manager. Although Location Manager still showed the resources as still to be copied from DVD, all resources
