  • Re: Notes - put icon before verse number in the Bible text

Hi Graham, Many thanks for your email, your concern and interest. I want: (1) the note to be associated with the verse generally and not with NABRE, (2) the icon in the Bible text to be before the verse number, (3) the verse in the Bible text to be highlighted and (4) changes made to be kept. I list all my requirements for my studies, but initially

  • Notes - put icon before verse number in the Bible text

I am trying to add a note to Philippians 4:8 (NABRE), and want the icon in the text before the verse number. I open NABRE and Notes. In the Notebooks menu I select Philippians and I select Phil 4:8 in NABRE, including the verse number, and right click. But I get the icon in NABRE after, not before, the verse number and also in the Note's compact list

  • Community Notes

Recently I am trying to learn about Logos/Verbum in a systematic and comprehensive way. This evening I have been looking at 'Community Notes'. Initially it seems this feature is of no use to me. Please let me know how I could benefit from it. I am a Catholic, interested in the Bible and the Fathers of the Church, and would like to be in contact with

  • Re: NABRE with verse numbers

NB.Mick, thank you for a brilliant reply, being simple, concise and accurate. In 'visual filters' I did not expand 'Bible text only' and hence did not see 'Chapter/verse numbers'.

  • NABRE with verse numbers

Is it possible to have NABRE with verse numbers? My preferred Bible is the NAB, since using the NABRE version I cannot see the verse numbers. Is it possible to view the verse numbers in NABRE? Please help. [Prior to 2001 I started using Logos, (then Libronix), and I used the Original Languages package and focused on a limited set of options. After some

  • NA27 w/GRAMCORD wanted for word study in Verbum/Logos 7

To clarify my query, I will describe exactly what I do. I open Verbum, then click 'Bible Word Study ' in Guide. I enter g:niga and from the drop-down menu I select νικάω 'in all passages'. I get results in NRSVCE, even though NAB is my preferred Bible, but from Setttings I see I can get NABRE, but not NAB. In Translation I see results

  • Re: Cannot list my resources in Verbum/Logos 7.

Thanks again, JT. I think the problem is solved, 'All Resources' means 'All My Resources', not all resources in Verbum/Logos.

  • Re: Cannot list my resources in Verbum/Logos 7.

Thanks for your two replies, JT. I seem to get different answers each time I attempt to solve the problem. I think the non-reproducible results are due to the note I see 'Updating Library Catalog. List may be incomplete'. Perhaps it would be best to wait some time for the system to settle down.

  • Cannot list my resources in Verbum/Logos 7.

Recently I upgraded to Verbum 7 from Verbum 6 and also upgraded to the Bronze version. However I cannot list all my resources. Using 'All Resources' and entering a letter I get a list of results, but with 'All My Resources' I get no results. Sorry for such a basic query. Please Help.

  • Choice of Graphics Card

I want to buy a new laptop essentially for Logos/Verbum 6, but I may upgrade in the future. I was concerned about computer requirements, and a final issue exists - the choice of graphics. One possibility is NVIDIA GoForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB, the other is Radeon R7 M445 Graphics 4G GDDR5. The NVIDIA may be a better card but the laptop with it is over

  • Re: Hardware Requirements Remote Access

Hi Rick, Dave, many thanks for your prompt, expert and helpful replies. I am pleased to learn that Logos Tech can have access to my computer, if necessary with Window 10, Home. This means I can get the computer I am thinking of.

  • Hardware Requirements Remote Access

Some time ago I reported trouble I am having with Logos/Verbum 6 and I received great help, for which I am most grateful. The problems emerged due to my processor not being adequate, so I need a new computer. I have looked at recommended hardware and have seen a computer which meets the requirements, except that it has MS Window 10 Home not Professional

  • Re: Logos(Verbum) 6 no longer works on my computer

Hey Brandyn, thank you so much for your prompt and positive reply. I tried to run both Logos and Verbum again, and after much delay they worked. My problem was probably due to being at the limit of my processor capability, and response times were excessively long. I was able to get programs to start with very small layouts - English and Greek Bibles

  • Logos(Verbum) 6 no longer works on my computer

I am having serious problems with Logos (Verbum) 6. It worked on my computer in the past, but now will not. It seems over the years the size of Logos has increased and my computer has got slower. I have a HP Pavilion g6-2241 laptop, bought about three years ago, with Window 10 Home, 8 GB RAM, 432 GB free space, 1920 x 1080 resolution. My problem seems

  • Re: Prepare Library - infinite loop

Thanks for interest and help. There was no indexer file, and the "Preparing your Library" process continues indefinitely, that is the problem.

Ooops, sorry. I will try to use the paper clip. I hope this is OK. I sincerely regret my error. I hope it has not been too inconvenient, and that my problem can be resolved 2678.VerbumError-2.zip

Thank you so much for your advice. I am not sure what I should do, but I have tried to follow instructions and now have a zipped file: 'This PC' -> Documents -> Verbum Log Files -> VerbumError-2. Now how do I upload? Here is a paste version. I do not know if this is correct. If all of this does not help, should I start again with simpler instructions

  • Re: Prepare Library - infinite loop

Dave Hooton, many thanks. This has happened only once. Recently I asked for a free resource (St Patrick). I use windows 8.1. I will let the computer run overnight and see does the problem resolve itself, if not tomorrow I will try to get logs, as you suggest.

  • Prepare Library - infinite loop

When I open Verbum (Logos 6), by clicking the icon in the taskbar, after some time I see "Preparing your library. This may take some time". This seems to be lasting longer that I would expect. I have set "Turn off display" to never, and "Put computer to sleep" also to never. Please advise. Thanks.
