Dave Hooton, many thanks. This has happened only once. Recently I asked for a free resource (St Patrick). I use windows 8.1. I will let the computer run overnight and see does the problem resolve itself, if not tomorrow I will try to get logs, as you suggest.

When I open Verbum (Logos 6), by clicking the icon in the taskbar, after some time I see "Preparing your library. This may take some time". This seems to be lasting longer that I would expect. I have set "Turn off display" to never, and "Put computer to sleep" also to never. Please advise. Thanks.

Using Logos 6 (Verbum) I have highlighted every occurrence of 'hagios' and its inflected forms. How can I remove this highlighting?

Looking through the forum I see that speeding up Logos is not only a concern of mine, but also of many others. The principal changes I have made are: 1. Increase RAM from 6 to the maximum 8. 2. Clean the laptop regularly with Ccleaner. 3. Use internet 'No'. Would you agree that this is basically the full list of useful changes? Thanks for all who have

The icon for Logos/Verbum I have in my taskbar is a small white rectangle with the top right corner folded over. Is this the default or can I get an icon corresponding to my software? When I try to open Logos/Verbum I get a blue dialogue box with "Logos Bible Software 6 A product of Faithlife" and a small Logos icon in the top left. Is this as expected

I have a permanent problem that Logos 6 is slow. I am grateful for all the help here. I am going to change from 6 to 8 GB RAM, but I see many of you have much more powerful computers than I have, so this may not help, but I cannot afford a new computer or SSD.

Currently I am trying to learn new features in Logos 6. Do you find "ask the author" helpful? I really cannot get anything out of it. Please let me know your experiences. Thanks!

How can I find out the best hardware for Logos 6/Verbum Foundation, considering a price-efficiency balance? What c. 10 inch Android Tablet would you recommend for this on the Logos 6 platform? Some time ago I listed my laptop hardware, and was informed I had chosen badly. I have a laptop (HP Pavilion g6-2241sa 15.6 “) , but even though I bought it with

How do I get a list of the options that will work using Verbum/Logos Foundation 6? However first I want to thank all those who have helped in my recent and previous queries. Essentially I have two problems? How do I get the optimum from my hardware? How do I get the optimum from my software? Now I want to focus on the software. when I read the information

I received an email which shows all the new features for Logos 6, but when I look them up I find many base packages do not have some of them. How can I find the features I have? This is related to the fact I do not know what base package I have. I originally had (I think) Libronix 3, and then I had Original Languages, now I have Verbum Foundation International

I received an email with new features for Logos 6, but when I check "Explore Packages with this Feature" I do not see my package - Verbum Foundations. To prevent me feeling like a poor relation, can I get a list of the new features I can use. Thanks.

I appreciate very much all the replies to me, and the interest so many took in my concerns. I am grateful to all of you. Unix especially has given me much food for thought. Let me summarize some points about my set-up. I use Sophos anti-virus software. I have 6 GB of RAM. I used to use Firefox, but I changed to Google Chrome some time ago. Processor

I appreciate all the help I get, and apologize for trivial queries. But recently my computer is slow and I wonder should I change my fundamental approach. My standard nightly study is to read a NT chapter in English (NRSVCE), then take a verse resonating with me and study it in Greek using NA and various other resources. Is it preferable to start from

Since changing to version 6 I think my computer is slower. How can I speed it up? Would using a small layout help? Also a general tidy up of the computer might be beneficial, what is the best way to do this? What else should I do? It may be that my library wants to sort itself out still. Maybe I put my computer to sleep or close it down too often. Can

I had a look at related queries in the forum and noted several discussions. In fact some months ago I raised a related problem. I see that the Logos morphology is considered superior to the Gramcord one. Is this generally accepted, and if so it would favo(u)r the former?
-
I use 'NA27 Int' and do not know whether to choose 'NA27' or 'NA27 w/GRAMCORD' to go with it. Please advise.
-
Dear MJ, many thanks. I followed your advice and your first option failed me. I think early on I removed the option to get a preferred bible and now cannot get it back in my home page, even though I asked for it using the gear icon, but I could change the preferred Bible using the library search and prioritize list, as you advise.
-
I have a simple question. How do I change my preferred bible in Verbum 6? Looking at the web I am told that in my home page I should see "choose preferred Bible" I do not. Sorry for a trivial query and thanks.
-
Alan, you use NA28, I use NA27. I am used to it and it is too expensive to change. I have several versions of NA27, but I usually use two, NA27 and NA27 Int.
-
Josh & John, Thanks. I am used to NA27, having used it for years. But I think I will look at getting NA28, as it is a natural progression from NA27.
