In one layout using NA27 w/GRAMCORD, INT I get GRAMCORD Greek morphology, but with another layout the same resource gives me LOGOS Greek morphology. Why is this so? How can I get LOGOS morphology always? Thanks!

  • Re: 64-bit Operating System and Logos 5.

Abondservant, again many thanks for your reply. I have 6.00Gb with 5.68 GB usable, so this seems ok. I am not sure what SSD means. For back-up purposes I have a 1 TB external hard disk made by WD (Elements). Is this something like I am recommended or what exactly should I get, and how do I use it?

  • Re: 64-bit Operating System and Logos 5.

Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate it that so many of you have taken the time to reply to me and share your expertise. I see KS4J wrote “Logos 5.3 will be 64 bit => 5.3 Beta 1 Warning Existing 32 bit applications cannot effective use more than 1.6 GB of RAM” I have 6 GB of installed memory. So by doing nothing I will soon get a 64 bit version

  • 64-bit Operating System and Logos 5.

I use Logos 5 but recently it seems slow. The operating system I use is 64-bit (laptop), and I have an X64 based processor. I use Logos 5, but I have updated from older machines, so is my Logos a 32 bit version and would a possible conflict with 32 and 64 bit computing slow me down or cause problems?

  • speed up Logos

Recently I find that Logos appears very slow. How can I speed it up? Would a smaller layout help? Would using it off-line speed it up? Would closing open programs, deleting temp files, etc. help? What else should I do? I would appreciate help.

  • Is it worth it for me?

I have used the free software to change from Logos 4, Original Language package, to Logos 5. I am happy with the resources I have and my method of studying. Is there any reason why I should pay for an upgrade or crossgrade?

  • Re: Layouts

Hi Bradley, I really am most grateful to you for your very helpful reply. Due to habit I am inclined to double click, and his is part of my problem. I will avoid this in future. I have also downloaded Version 5, as you suggest, and am very pleased with it.

  • Layouts

I have Logos 4 and windows 8. When I try to open "layouts" by clicking the appropriate button either the menus do not open or do so for an instant. Eventually I can get the menus open. It is very frustrating, please help.

  • Re: Logos 4 with windows 8, Layouts

Dave, thanks for your help. But my problems remain. Essentially I find it difficult to open "Layouts" and to get rid of layouts I do not want on the right half of the menu. I use Logos 4 (4.6b SR-2 (4.62.0.2681) ).

  • Logos 4 with windows 8, Layouts

I have a new laptop, on which I am using Logos 4, but when I click "Layouts" either I do not get the menu opening or it opens and immediately disappears. After some time I can get the menu opened. The problem may be due to my lack of familiarity with the computer, but I do not think so. Please advise. Also as well as the layouts I use on the left side

Rosie et al. many thanks for all your friendly and constructive suggestions, I use: "Logos Bible Software 4.6a SR-3 (4.61.0.3378) Copyright 2000–2012 Logos Bible Software Licensed to: njfi******12@gmail.com (Original Languages (JG))". My major problem is I am very happy with what I have and want to focus on learning the Bible and Fathers , not the intricacies

Why do I get "Normal 0 false false false false EN-IE X-NONE HE" at the top of my post?

  • Approach to using Logos 4 for daily religious/study purposes

Normal 0 false false false false EN-IE X-NONE HE I use Logos 4 for two reasons, daily religious study and academic study, and my interests are Paul and the Apostolic Fathers. For the former I use a layout with four equal sized areas: Top Left Panel - NRSV, NASB95, NAB, ISV, NET Top Right Panel - NA27 wGRAMCORD Int, NA27 w/GRAMCORD, ESV Bottom Left Panel

Ooops, sorry for such a trivial question. In studying options in Logos 4 I used visual filters, but now I cannot remove my highlighting. Please help.

  • Re: Biblical Languages Package

Normal 0 false false false EN-IE X-NONE HE Thanks for all the replies. There was a discussion here about American Evangelical Protestants being facilitated to a grater extent than others. I am not sure if this is so. I have always thought that Logos caters for all interested in the Bible, the word of God, whether from an academic or a religious point

Normal 0 false false false EN-IE X-NONE HE Many thanks to all who replied to me. I sent essentially the same message to both Logos and BW fora, and (surprise, surprise) in the BW forum an upgrade to BW was suggested mainly, and in the Logos one a Logos update was preferred. I think I will upgrade BW now, and wait a while before upgrading Logos. I hope

Normal 0 false false false EN-IE X-NONE HE I am thinking of upgrading my Bible software and would welcome advice. My interests are the NT (NA 27) and I am interested in Paul, especially the Authentic and the Pastoral Letters. I am also interested in the Church Fathers, especially the Apostolic Fathers, and am currently studying the Didache. As well

Thanks for all the advice I got in this forum. I think the advice was excellent, since the NovaBench score was 1352. This is not the best but very adequate, considering the price. A special thanks to Clinton for pointing me to NovaBench. I enclose below some details. I do hope NovaBench is reputable and using it has not compromized my computer. I also

  • Check Speed

I am very grateful to all who advised me on specifications for a computer to run Logos and for getting it running on my new computer. How can I check my speed for Logos and for the new computer? I would like some criteria to decide how efficient my computer is.
