Andrew, Your ideas seem great. But is your screen not a bit complicated?

Pam, thanks for your new ideas. I have my commentaries in my bottom left tile and when I click on a Bible reference in appears in all my Bibles, as I have them all linked. My preferred one appears in the top left tile. This seems to work for me.

Logos is about Bible study, so (perhaps) it is unfair to expect non-Bible resources to be available in it. However the resources requested are already available as shown below: http://www.ccel.org/fathers.html the Church Fathers http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/p1s2c2a2.htm#I CCC http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_councils/ii_vatican_council

Richard, Thanks for your post. I looked you up and I see about your activities in http://community.logos.com/members/2148/default.aspx Richard DeRuiter has not done anything recently. How did you manage that? But seriously… I accept your view about three columns. I sometimes float windows (tiles) for clarity. But at present I am trying to get used to

  • Suggested Layout for NT Study

I am interested in studying the NT, with particular emphasis on the Pastoral Epistles. My favorite Bibles are: NRSV, NAS, NAB, ISV, ESV and D-R (top left tile), while my favorite commentaries are: Harpers, Collegeville, New and JFB (bottom left tile). My favorite Greek Bibles are: NA27 Gramcord, with and without McReynolds (top right tile) Other resources

Rosie, many thanks. But I am the one who should apologize, as I replied to a different topic from the main thread.

Scott and Mark, many thanks. At present when I start up the program starts with the last screen I had. Then I go to l ayouts and choose my favorite workspace (Ooops layout .). At least I know now that this is the nearest option to my preferred one.

Philip, I am happy with Logos as it is. There are no resources not in it that I would really like to have. If I were a rich man I would buy the works of John H Newman. My favorite Bibles are: NRSV, NAS, NAB, ISV, ESV and D-R. Favorite Commentaries: Harpers, Collegeville, New and JFB Favorite Greek Bibles: NA27 Gramcord, with and without McReynolds.

I have recently upgraded to Logos 4, and have been relooking at this forum after the absence of some time. I think this discussion started with a Christmas present of Logos 4 Platinum, as the first post was Christmas Day, 2009. M.J. Smith promply replied. I note he has over 4500 posts. Most seem to be about Logos queries, which is why we are here. As

Thanks for the contributions here. I would like my preferred layout to appear when I open Logos4. How can I do this? Sorry if this query is too basic, as I am new to Loogos4.

I have Logos , Original Languages, and I am happy with it. I use NAB and D-R, as well as NRSV, NAS etc. The Vulgate is available. However I have bought some extra resources, as the Collegeville BC and the Collegeville Reference Library . The Catholic Lectionary is useful. I have always been treated here with welcome and support, for which I am grateful

  • Re: Logos Website Really Slow

Rosie, many thanks for your post. My concern is not with the slowness of www.logos. com, but with the speed of the Logos Bible Software 4. How can I speed this up? I have several layouts stored, and some of these include many resources which may affect the speed. Also I have many resources I do not use, can these slow down things? Basically I am not

Normal 0 false false false Rick, Many thanks. I read Hagner’s excellent book and the two edited more recently by Gregory and Tuckett (2005). I am grateful for the URLs you sent. In fact the 2005 books noted above were written to update and commemorate the 1905 book you mention..

Normal 0 false false false Thank you, Anthony, for your encouraging reply. I have studied the NT in 1 Clem and more recently I have been interested in the Pastoral Epistles and the Apostolic Fathers, in an attempt to show the probability of the PE being Pauline. I find the AF very rewarding and important. I am always amazed that more students are not

  • Apostolic Fathers

One of my New Year resolutions is to study the Apostolic Fathers. Is anyone else interested in these? Please excuse trivial questions. How do I changer the dictionary in my information window? How can I see the Greek text of the Apostolic Fathers without the grammar and lemmas? Again happy new year.
