Thanks Mark, that's an interesting comment about RT. The original surface RT and the Surface 2RT are both excellent tablets for those among us who have limited uses for a laptop and want a simpler device. Things such as email, keeping in touch with family through Facebook, YouTube, streaming video and audio both over the home network and online are

I have really been enjoying this thread debate today. I live in Australia a long way from USA. I am right on board with your viewpoint Joe and as an early contributor to the debate I can see that you have certainly livened it up. I have always wondered why on the logos training videos and you tube clips everyone is using a mac. Apple were a latecomer

Thanks Jeff, It seems that that was all I needed to do. A restart and all is well thanks again.

So why then does the Logos 6 install trip up over .NET 4.5 if it is already installed?

On looking further it appears that .NET 4.5 has been installed on the Surface Pro 2. I tried to install it but the dialogue box said that it was already installed.

Thanks for such a speedy response. After checking my registry it would appear to be .NET 4.0

  • Installation issues on Surface Pro 2

Can anyone help me please. I have purchased the cross grade from Logos 5 to Logos 6 and installed ok on my Windows 7 desktop and Windows 8.1 laptop. My problems started with my Surface Pro 2. After completing the update, I started the install. After it started I get an error message " Installation of Microsoft .Net framework 4.5 did not succeed." The

Thanks Adam. This is a good analysis of the realities we face as Windows users. I had to purchase a Surface Pro 2 rather than my preferred option of a much lighter Surface 2 just so I could run my Logos software (don't mention the appalling excuse for the Windows RT app). The only issues now relate to the fact that the software is not optimised for

  • Re: Version 1.2.0.0 available for Bible!

So here we are more than a year and a half beyond the original comment and nothing has changed. My wife purchased a Surface tablet recently and I was disgusted with the appalling standard of the RT windows app. Barely usable as a reader with no other functionality. By the way there is a strong market in used RT tablets here in Australia with some selling

It's getting quite interesting isn't it. my household is now exclusively Nokia Lumia Windows Phones. My wife loves her Surface tablet and couldn't be bothered with the miserable excuse for an app that Logos has on that platform. It's not just Logos that has to invest in apps for different platforms. As a group, LOGOS users may well have the largest

I have just made the leap from an old Nokia feature phone to a new Nokia Lumia 520 and I now find myself in the same situation as the rest of the post on this thread. Anything I can do to help it along I will.

  • Re: Error installing latest update

The problem has been resolved. After a night of downloading and indexing the same problem arose. An international call to Logos customer service was indicated and they said it was some kind of administrator issue. They guided me through the fix and now I have it all back. Very happy now.

  • Re: Error installing latest update

Thanks Lee, it appears that the update process corrupted or deleted major program components including the entire resource file. I did a windows restore to try to get it back but unfortunately when I then clicked on the logos shortcut the program started an 8.26Gb download. This will pretty much destroy my data limit for the rest of the month so I am

  • Re: Error installing latest update

Thanks for this Graham, I installed Logos 5 over logos 4 as recommended so I don't for some reason have a Logos 5 folder. There did not appear to be a problem in my folder ownership like that in the Wiki. I Think that I am going to have to uninstall and reinstall. Is it possible to do this without deleting my library?

  • Error installing latest update

Hi I have just tried to install the latest update and I have the error message. Error writing to file: C:\Users\PeterAllen\AppData\Local\Logos4\en-US\logos.exe.mui. Verify that you have access to that directory. I have also tried installing the update with the direct link provided by Kelly in a previous post with the same result. Logos is now broken

This thyread is not going to die any time soon is it? I am two weeks into a new semester at college and the lecturer is using a lot of Towner, Letters to Timothy and Titus from the NICNT as a secondary resource. I want to purchase the book but I can only get the NT set for $770 odd. Ridiculous for one unit. Logos help us out here please. Perhaps you

I have also discovered Evernote. It is fantastic. I prepare my sermons or studies on my desktop and just drop the finished article into evernote and bingo its on my tablet. I am using a nexus 7 and I thought that the screen would be a bit small but it is working fine.

  • Re: What's significant about Bible Sense Lexicon?

Now that I have my Logos 5 upgrade to silver there is no bible sense lexicon. Worse my Louw-Nida has disappeared from the reverse interlinears. This upgrade is about increased functionality not reduced functionality.

  • Re: Adding Bible Sense Lexicon to Silver

Hi Joe, I also upgraded my scholars silver to Logos 5 silver. No bible sense lexicon. I'm very dissapointed because they seem to have taken away Louw - Nida and not replaced it with anything. This is crazy and I have sent customer service an email for clarification. I also tried to purchase it to no avail.
