I grant you that Logos 5 has quite a learning curve;
I just don't see L5 as an upgrade, on that we will likely disagree. Thanks for all your help. Art

Using the search box came up empty which is why I posted, but i will look in the spots you mention. If I poke around a bit there,in the listings, I should find what I need. Thanks again, Art

@ Milford, if that is true, then I thank you for pointing it out. And thanks to Rosie for helping with my assignment. I will say that when I see a forum member with thousands of posts,.. I just assume they work for Logos. I admit that may not always be the case. But since you're here, I'll ask nicely, do you know of any wiki videos on morph searches

  • logos for dummies: turn off the colors

I was doing a morph search in Ephesians this morning. Seemingly done with that (I gave up). I look at UBS 4 and now it is multicolored...Huh? I didn't ask it to do that,... I don't think. Two questions: What do the colors represent? How do I get back to a black and white text? Thanks, Art

  • Re: useful vids on wiki for exegetical IBS

Thank you, that will work! Now that I have actually run the morph search, how do I get it to sort by number of occurrences? That should be pretty easy since all the heavy lifting is done. Art

  • bigger font please

I have Logos 4 on mac. I am trying to make the font bigger in the book I am reading. The menu on L4 : Window then Zoom does nothing. A search on wiki turned up three non germane results. I just want the print to be a little bigger. Thanks, Art
In all honesty, I don't understand the rationale that you shouldn't keep your software up to date (Logos or otherwise).
I looked at Timeline when L5 released. It seemed like the software equivalent of a twitter post. Interesting, but mostly useless. It ain't broke, so why fix it? Then again I still have an iPod on OS 3.x, because it works

I am still unconvinced that L5 is actually an improvement. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Art

  • Re: finding a book in my library

I went to L4 Gold 24 days before the L5 rollout. Lucky for me I keep the UBS commentaries forever :-) As far as cross grading to L5,... as a new Gold user L5 Gold was gonna cost another 400 and I was not willing to pay another 400 to use the same Gold library I just bought.... Customer service proved unhelpful for folk like me, so L5 turned into something

I thought that might be the case. I won't give up the UBS series, so I guess I'll keep 4.x Thx

  • finding a book in my library

I have Logos4 on mac Gold edition. When I was shopping for a title on the logos website, I saw a prompt that said my title was included in Gold libraries. Title: An Exegetical Summary of Ephesians Author: Glenn H. Graham Is this a problem of "it's in 5.x but not 4.x?

  • how to disable updates

Fearing armageddon with L5, I went in to disable auto updates on L4.6 under preferences only to find my machine downloaded and installed 4.6a SR-2 anyway. How do I stop this from happening in the future? Thanks Art

I found a handy link to add Windows Keyboards for Ancient Languages, but no corresponding post or video for mac users. http://www.logos.com/support/windows/L3/keyboards To write in Hebrew for Mac is this as simple as selecting Hebrew in my language and keyboard preferences?
