From the Training videos page https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019103211-Logos-8-Training-Videos Clicking on a video brings up the Cookies must be enabled line. Well, support is open now, and I have a few minutes, so I will try and see if they can help. Except for a couple things, eg, not having to log in every flip of the page, I don

ROFLOL no, my happiness and state of eternal security and my standing before God is not dependency on my Logos purchase; that is solely based on God's mercy, and his choice to have accepted me, or to not have accepted me. (Eph. 2:8-10) And, yes, I do want Logos to constantly improve, and fortunately, so does Bob, and the company (hence this entire thread

What I am is annoyed that you do not understand the difference between being a Christian and frustrated with expensive software that has not worked, But, apparently you are what Solomon has described in Proverbs 26. If we have an ignore button, please add me to yours, as I will add you to mine.
Well Batman, You’re a calvinist

  • 3rd Party Cookies

There are some extreme technicalities I just do not "get" when it comes to certain things with Cookies, permissions, etc. I've had to deal with identity theft and clearing up the aftermath for someone (ironically, they never used a computer, being blind and over 80, at the time). Computers have not helped but have broadened this problem. As a result

Hi Denise. Been a while seeing you here. (I best be careful, or else maybe my spiritual destination may be on the line for not posting regularly. lol). Yep, I think pastors get caught up in a conflict where they think Bible study for sermon prep and personal time with God are the same. They can be; but, they can also get in the way of each other, if

DAL, Sorry, but, your response is about as confused a response as I have seen, in a long while. First, you are off base on what God does: "I have chosen you", "No man comes to the Father unless I draw them to him". Yes, God wants us to diligently seek him, and rewards those who do. But, even that is the gift of God. So, no, you are completely off base

Andrew: I do appreciate the prayers. However, please do not misinterpret "frustration" over things as being equal to not loving God. The desire or lack thereof is due to the over complicated system, which is due to it's complex nature. For about 8 years I had an over-priced Logos system that did me no good at all. The simplest of tasks (looking up a
We’ve been building Logos Bible Software since 1991. It’s the heart of everything we do, and of accomplishing our mission: We use technology to equip the Church to grow in the light of the Bible. Logos is the premiere tool for people who are serious about Bible study. It’s heavily used by pastors, scholars

am I just missing that?
Sort of. If you click the gear-looking icon to the upper right of a section, you can uncheck all the boxes and stuff will disappear. Unfortunately, it's not very granular so when you check something, you don't get a few of that, you get a ton of it. There's not a way to see
You can turn off what you do not want to see
Well, that is good to know that most people can in fact set their preferences. I did not see the lower settings gear icon. Sadly, however, I do not get the whole thing. I do not get anything from Feature Suggestions up. So, maybe a call to tech support and remote access and MAYBE

  • Ads Still on Home Page

I was under the impression that the annoying, they dont belong in my "Bible" ads were going to disappear about Dec. But, here we are in March, and I have not seen a way to eradicate them nasty things. But, at the same time, it's rather cool for those who want them appearing in their "Bible"; but, for me, I find them a nuisance and annoying. Anyone have
I think someone posted in another thread that these books come in Standard Bronze and higher, so many people have them already. I generally don't buy the standard packages but the denominational ones, so these are all new for me. It's a double blessing as they cover something I'm teaching on soon.
That's way cool.

Somehow I already own the free book of the month for March, as well as the two additional books at a deep discount. That's cool in one sense, but kind of a bummer in another.
The larger your library, the more likely it is. I reckon I have at least three-quarters of the freebies already.
Logos 8 claims to be faster. Is it? Can you actually find anything with it? I downloaded basic. Waiting to restart Logos because it is indexing. (It said it was 88% indexed but suddenly it is down to only 26%. I think that is all it ever does).
I have to say it is. My old old computer, it took about 6 minutes between
So there is an AYBC sale going on at the moment. I don't have any AYBCs and I've had people tell me to stay away from them because they tend to lean on the liberal side. Anyone have any thoughts on "must haves"? There are quite a few ranked high on Best Commentaries but I know that rating system isn't the best at times. Thanks

And THAT is my point. Precisely. I guess time to hit twitter and twit the twits and complain (And, might as well as explain it: IF it's called twitter, why are we tweeting and not twitting? Or, why isnt tweeter, so we can tweet?)
Not meaning to disagree, but re-titling used to work great. But the app and the mobiles ignore all

NB Mick: Thank you. But, as I said to Rosie: Publishers are idiots. Thanks for the image too. IF I ever find the extra time to do what the publishers SHOULD keep their noses out of, I'll do that. But, dang it's annoying.

Publishers are idiots. Unfortunately, so are most others, like Android creators, who ignore people's renaming; as pointed out by Denise. My hopes are that companies like Logos, and other ebook companies, music industry, etc. would quit renaming things after we spend so much time. But, thanks.

I dont know if this is my OCDness or if it even matters to anyone else. However, I cant imagine that I am the only person who gets bothered by the lack of organization in Logos. Yes, there is some. And I think we can sort of organize them; but that's wasted time at our end. Especially when people have a nonillion resources in their library. What I am

Side stepping the discussion, a bit, but, I've always taught the importance of knowing why you believe what you believe. Of course believing what you are taught is important, as God told Israel to teach their children and their children what the Lord had done for them. But, knowing why you believe what you believe is extremely important. At least, I
