  • Re: Figurative Language Visual Filter

With all due respect, since it works so poorly in the Gospels, expanding it to the rest of Scripture is really pointless. For instance, just follow the Logos Pro video for making the filter and then take a look at Matthew 24. The results of what it is saying is figurative language is more often far off the mark than even close to it. And it gets even

  • Re: Typo Report

I would like to strongly second the request for this option. I recently read Edersheim's "The Life & Times of Jesus the Messiah" entirely on my iPad and, other than the above solution which would have been extremely time consuming in this case, it was frustrating not being able to directly report them from the iPad. There must be well over a hundred

  • Re: Introducing Logos for iOS 1.7

It's been "on the way" for quite awhile and that announcement linked to states there is no timeline for completion. Seriously...substantive details on an Android implementation would be much appreciated.

  • Re: Determine version of Logos ?

For those who might be perusing the Forum, the short answer is to click the help icon in the top right corner of Logos (it's a question mark) and select "About Logos Bible Software". This will tell you the version of Logos currently installed.

  • Trying to Understand Layout Behavior

Could someone take pity on me and straighten me out where the behavior of layouts is concerned? My issues are: Is there no way for L4 to automatically load the layout I want by default instead of always reverting to the last one I used? Is there a way to clear a layout so, for instance, if I select a guide just the guide opens on the screen? Right now

I can reproduce this glitch all day long. Bah-humbug.

  • Re: Docking floating panel does not return to where it was

Does someone from Logos actually read through the forum? If so, when is this going to be fixed? You offer multiple tabs within multiple windows in a workspace, but not automatically docking a tab back to its point of origin is more than annoying. Instead of playing "find Waldo" with the re-docked tab it's often easier to reload the whole workspace.

Not only OneNote, but why not enable direct copy/paste at least to the programs LISTED in the copy dialog box such as WordPad, HTML Editor, etc.?

  • Re: Reference box in nasb concordance??

I get "thousands of lines of code", I don't get something like this making it through testing all the way into production.

  • Re: Reference box in nasb concordance??

OK...I went to that page and it let me add it to the list. Realistically, what are the odds this will be addressed in my lifetime? :-) It just seems to me that if no one listed it before, why would the programmers pay attention to little ol' me? I'm still struggling to understand how that was possibly left out from L3 to L4.

  • Re: Reference box in nasb concordance??

I apologize if it's obvious and I've just missed it, but I looked through the list of L4 bugs on the Wiki and didn't find anything referencing this issue. Is there somewhere else I should look? I'm particularly anxious for this one to be "fixed". Thanks!

  • Re: Looking for Experienced L3 User Advice on L4

Hmmm...does anyone understand the old adage of comparing apples and oranges? Moving and renaming a feature is NOT the same as leaving it completely out of the so-called "new and improved and much easier to use" release. By definition, it's not "easier" if it doesn't exist . Check the forums and the Wiki for yourself. It's going to be a couple of years

  • Re: Logos 4 FAQs

Is there such a thing as "The Logos 4 Guide for Logos 3 Users"? In other words, some kind of organized list of the features and function of L3 and how they are now mapped to, integrated in, and renamed within L4? Most of the tutorials and examples I've come across are geared for first-time users. Are there no materials devoted to assisting long-time

I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings here, but I can't believe how many people so easily drink the Kool-Aid. Let's see...how much of the YEARS of knowledge learning L3 instantly carried over to even the most basic operation of L4? Perhaps I can come up with a politer term than "zero" but it eludes me. How many of the "terms" and "labels" are common

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. I do, sincerely, appreciate it. I downloaded and installed the L4 engine. (Thanks, Logos, for not bothering to mention I was actually about to download a cool 3.4 GIGA-bytes and then lose my PC for the afternoon while it indexed.) After wandering around the wasteland Morris Proctor calls "the most powerful

  • Looking for Experienced L3 User Advice on L4

I'm having great difficulty sorting through the marketing materials to clearly understand the advantages of upgrading from Logos 3 to 4. I am interested in feedback from advanced users (NOT Logos employees) on how much the new product functions like the old. In other words, to what degree do I have to re-learn the in's and out's of the new platform
