• Re: Bio on John Chrysostom

I did a quick search, and there are at least three available in Logos, which you can find here: https://www.logos.com/products/search?q=Golden+mouth&Resource+Type=Biographies There are also quite a few more available in Verbum: https://verbum.com/search?context=product&query=Chrysostom&sortBy=relevance&limit=15&page=2&facets

  • Re: Passage Guide Links

I suspect a lot of us also value the way that we can have multiple commentaries open, allowing us to switch between them, so I certainly wouldn't want this behaviour changed - it would mean having to remember which commentary something was in and reopening it, or making notes on things I might or might not want to come back to. There might be a case

  • Re: Really Faithlife or Logos whatever you call yourself.

I am a pastor who purchases Logos Now subscription and my Logos upgrades and resources from my own pocket, not an expense account. If you think that most pastors get all these things paid for by their churches, you are deeply mistaken.

  • Re: Is there away to turn off Logos footnotes to copy/pasty in to Word?

EDIT: Just realised too late that you weren't actually asking about copying bible text primarily but it wouldn't let me delete the post. Hi Mykola - I'm not sure whether you are using Windows or Mac, but on the Mac you have the "Copy Bible Verses" option on the Tools menu (see below). This enables you to copy in a number of different formats, and to

Hi Myola - I'm not sure whether you are using Windows or Mac, but on the Mac you have the "Copy Bible Verses" option on the Tools menu (see below). This enables you to copy in a number of different formats, and to send the output directly to Word. I believe it's available on the Windows version as well. I've found this to be a much better way of coping

  • Re: Export Word List to Visual Filter?

If you're confident manipulating text files there is a way of doing it, that is quite tortuous and involves some messy searching, but worked for me to highlight all haps legomena in the New Testament. I found the easiest way of doing it was to use a morph, rather than a Bible search, as this reduced the amount of fiddling with the text file. To produce
DAL, if your account of your experience of pastors is accurate, I can only say that you should move to a different church immediately, and move to a church where the pastor understands that he's a servant of Christ. I've never met any minister that is how you describe, and I'd be horrified if I did.

I don't think the concept of preview resources is the issues, it's more a case of what has been offered as a preview recently has not been well thought out and so I wouldn't want to see the baby thrown out with the bath water.

I don't think there's an way to automatically identify only the preview resources using a rule. I wish there was.
The rule: license:Temporary ANDNOT type:(courseware, manual, glossary) should help to identify all the temporary resources. You could build a Collection using that rule and then hide everything in that

Thank you Paul - I'll investigate. It sounds more as though it's a one-way "send to Evernote" but that's a good start.

  • New IOS Release - Evernote integration?

I just updated to the latest Logos IOS version, and was surprised to see that it says there's improved Evernote integration. I can't seem to find it, and can't find a reference to it in the Release notes. Is this correct? By the way, I am delighted and thankful to be able to use my Sermons directly from my iPad now - that is fantastic - Thank you!

  • Re: How do I simplify the context menu?

Hi Martin - he certainly is tagged, as the following search shows (everything tagged Cornelius is highlighted), but it needs someone brighter than me to explain why it doesn't appear in the Context Menu (or whether it is designed to do so).

  • Re: Highlighting on Mac

Method 1 works fine for me on my MacBook. I've never tried the second method, but it doesn't work when I try it. I always just select, right-click and choose "Remove annotation" from the context menu as my preferred method of getting rid of unwanted highlights.

  • Re: Question/Recommendation to MJ: TIP of the Day

You can find them all from Google, simply by typing: "TIP of the day" site:community.logos.com in the Google search box. I know that doesn't classify them, but it does give you a complete list of them.
It happened again this morning, when I first went into Verbum. I had to restart my iPad to "cure" this.
I'm on an iPad Air 2 with IOS 10, and don't have this problem running the Logos app so I'm afraid I can't reproduce it. It might be worth posting the exact steps you're going through to help Kevin try to reproduce

Hi Jim - if you have either the Logos 7 Full Feature Set or a Logos Now subscription, you can customise the layouts. Open the Bible and Commentary you soould like to use, then do the following: Click on "Layouts" in the top right-hand corner on the desktop. Under "Quickstart Layouts" choose "Bible and Commentary" Click on the down-arrow on the right

Sorry - Francis beat me to it! It does, of course, rely on the way the propositional outline has been tagged, and you might not necessarily agree with some of the classification.
