• Re: Sermon file addin logos 6

Hi Robert - I don't want to add confusion, but you are aware that Sermon File add-in and Personal Books are two different things? Personal Books replaced the old Sermon File Add-In some years ago, and I very much doubt the add-in would still work with Windows 10. I last used it with Logos 4 on Windows 7. I don't think the Sermon File Add-in is supported

I've just used the Sermon Editor for the first time to prepare a "live" sermon. I love the development, but do also feel that it needs some rapid development in a number of areas. I'd agree with most of what the OP suggested, and would add the following: For me, being able to put a map onto a slide is quite important, especially when I'm preaching from
Whilst I'm quite comfortable storing my notes about books/passages, word lists, etc. in Logos, I have never used the Prayer List functionality, and don't keep any notes on individuals in the software.
Exactly. I've adopted precisely the same policy.

Hi Nathan - it probably depends what you're trying to accomplish. If you're writing academic papers and are going to have to trace the development of a word's usage over time, it might be a good idea. If you're using it mainly for sermon preparation, you're probably better off with what you've got. I mainly do sermon preparation, and have LSJ on my

I am not aware of a way of tagging all open resources, but if you can define what you want in the Library view, you can achieve what you're trying to do another way. Enter the search in the Library search bar. (title:money or whatever) Click the "i" button on the right-hand side of the Library view. Select all the resources in the library view (I find
Can we temporarily draw and mark up the screen while using the Web app? For example, if I pull up a verse on my iPad while teaching the Bible, how can I highlight and circle key words? This feature is already available in the desktop version, but not sure about the Web app. Since many if not most access the web nowadays

You're quite right. It does. I don't know why it doesn't work in the Courses tool though. Very strange.

If you're on this forum you also have a Faithlife.com account, and you could try setting it up there if it's for a group that supports events. Just use your Logos login to sign in. There's a "create event" button on the top right-hand side of the relevant group pages.

  • Hexham Bible Dictionary References in Courses

I think this has been mentioned before, but the recent major LBD update seems to have messed up links in courses to references in the Lexham Bible Dictionary. I'm currently enjoying working through NT313, but the link below opens to somewhere in LBD that has nothing but an "S"!

Don - the other thing you need to remember is that a lot of the functionality with the iPad (and Android) app relies on being connected to the Internet, so things like searching, generating Passage Guides, etc won't work unless you are online. For basic reading, etc it's fine, but most of the other functionality is delivered via Faithlife's servers
