• OT: Church Choral & Organ Music Radio

For those interested in classical/church choral/organ music, Priory Records (UK) has just started its own internet radio stream. I've tried it in iTunes and on my Squeezebox player and the stream works. BTW, I don't have any affiliation with Priory Records - but thought others would be interested. http://www.priory.org.uk/ http://cp.internet-radio.org

  • Re: Considering Mac Again

Logos runs without issue on my 2009 Mac Mini. My wife is a kindergarden teacher, and requires MS Publisher for her work (despite having Pages and Adobe InDesign at home). To avoid having to splash out on a copy of Windows OS, I purchased CrossOverMac Pro from www.codeweavers.com This means that you can natively run MS Publisher on your Mac - but without

  • Re: Pray for Japan & pacific locations

The brother of my church pastor is in charge over Sendai Evangelical Christian Church - http://www.sendaichurch.com/wp/ Although there has been no direct contact with Pastor Rod Thomas and his family, a third party contact indicates that they are alright. Even so, please pray not only for the Japanese people but also for the congregation of Sendai Church

  • Aleph Taph?

I should have known better: to show-off my new Logos Bible Study software to my brother (who uses E-Sword). He typed in Aleph Taph into the search window, and............nothing, nada, zilch. My brother left with his faith in his trusty E-Sword intact. Even after he left, and I typed Aleph Tav instead - I still didn't get a result. What am I doing wrong

  • Re: 1) Why Logos and 2) Why Logos over Accordance

I had the same question nearly a year ago - go for the supposed 'Rolls Royce" Accordance or the relative Mac 'newcomer', Logos. Primarily, these factors swayed me for Logos. I am a layman, and therefore required a value for money product that addressed my personal market segment, so to speak. That is, I don't want to get bogged down my the detailed

  • Re: Buy or Wait ?

I have resisted buying the product since the start of the year - but will be placing my order before the official release date. Even mainstream programs, such as Office Mac for example, are always being updated due to bugs and security issues - but does that stop most of us buying such programs?

  • Re: The Future of Logos Bible Software 10 years From Now.....

In ten years time my copy of Logos will go all the way to version 11. It will also be able to display a prophetic timeline, relating bible passages to factual outcomes.

  • Import Tax & Shipping Costs on Logos Disk (UK)?

This is primarily a question for UK users.... Sometime in the next few weeks, I'm about to buy Logos for the first time and am likely to choose the DVD purchase option when buying (because I am told by Logos that the download time is v-e-r-y long). However, one concern from experience of buying other unrelated goods from the USA is the risk that UK

  • Re: 9 Reasons Mac Users Should Upgrade

As a potential customer, and not an existing user, I need 10 reasons to persuade me to buy (rather than upgrade) into a partially completed product before the end of the weekend.

  • Re: Expiring Discounts & Still Only an Alpha?

I agree with Jeff. If it were any other piece of software, by any other manufacturer, no-one in their right mind would purchase a partially completed product on the promise of a 25% discount. As the deadline looms larger for the discount on Logos for Mac I was sorely tempted to buy - having taken into account the response of others to my question on

  • Re: Be Honest - Would you buy again?
...best package deal is initial purchase - often in December/January with 25 % discount or education discounts.
It looks as though my best option is to wait until this time next year, with the expectation that I will then be able to buy a 'finalised' product with the same discount.

Out of interest, has anyone tried L4W via CrossOverMac Pro?

  • Be Honest - Would you buy again?

I've hesitated over the past few weeks on buying Logos before the sale period expires (having already rejected buying Accordance), and have routinely read this forum for users' experience on the Mac version. Accordance appears to be more designed for the 'scholar', while the Logos Bible Study package seems appropriately designed for a lay-person such

  • Re: Are there plans for an iPhone Audio Bible from Logos ??

I initially bought my iPod to hold the Listeners' Bible' - read by Max Mclean. This is available in ESV, NIV and KJV editions. Strongly recommended. http://www.listenersbible.com/

Might I suggest Sun's VirtualBox as an alternative... It's the equal of Fusion and Parallels - except that it's free! http://www.virtualbox.org

  • Advice on What to Choose

I would like some 'unbiased' advice on Logos. For some time I had contemplated buying Accordance - as I am led to believe that Accordance is the 'Rolls-Royce' of Bible study software. With my credit card in hand I'm often tempted to buy either Accordance or Logos (I can't afford both) - but then put the credit card away again because of indecision.
