  • Re: SUGG: we need better organization for notes, clipping, etc. files

Posts like this always catch my attention. I just have to tell myself that they aren't written to me personally, even though my last name is, in fact, "Sugg". Seriously, though, this would be an important feature to me as well. I just assumed that Logos would take this into account, especially after the L3 import feature came about. Is this on the radar

  • Re: 4.0b Started Crashing on Startup Today

I had the same problem this morning as well. Logos support suggested the same advice Melissa suggested, and it fixed the problem immediately.

Thomas - you rock! I'm glad you have reminded me of the command bar. I should use that more.

Look at Tools | Copy Bible Verses. You can pick the destination (word, openoffice, clipboard, etc). You can also do CTRL-ALT-b when Logos4 is running to bring up this dialog.

  • Re: Will adding more Memory to WinXP help performance?

I have a dual core 2.0 GHz CPU, 3GB memory, Win 7, and a 5400RPM hard drive. Everything pegs out at some point with Logos, but the hard drive redlines the fastest. If I were to upgrade anything, it would be to a 7200RPM hard drive.

  • Re: What are the criteria for "recommended retail price"?

I have often wondered the same thing. I realize they have their own publishing costs, but I don't understand where their numbers come from.

okey doke. I've done all those things except the run-as-admin because it's so annoying when it starts up. I think what has helped the most is the observation that starting/closing/starting/closing/starting logos seems to speed it up. I was kinda hoping that indexing would speed up the passage guide results, but perhaps that will improve in the future

...and when I do a new passage guide search with the categories expanded (except internet resources like sermoncentral, etc), the CPU does spike.

  • Re: CPU performance seems to constantly spike

So I've rebooted and it seems faster than before. No idea what the difference is. I did notice that the passage guide is no longer searching all resource categories at once. I *think* this is a change, but I'm sure you can confirm. In L3, the passage guide came up immediately without searching anything if the categories were collapsed. Searching was

  • Re: CPU performance seems to constantly spike

I'm not sure that run-as-admin sped it up any, but the performance is improved (apparently from just posting to the forum). Maybe after it has been launched a couple of times it caches something? I think I'll reboot and see if the performance drops again.

  • Re: CPU performance seems to constantly spike

I'm losing my mind. It's been slow a couple of days, including this morning, so I posted on the forums. To answer Robert's question, I start it up again, and it's not spiking. So does L4 know when you post about it's performance and then speed up? Sheesh :) Seriously, though, the speed is (literally) suddenly better when switching between screens. It

  • CPU performance seems to constantly spike

I just upgraded from 3 to 4a, and the interface changes are phenomenal. Really, it's just amazing. I love the layout and the workflow, both of which are radically different. One of the things that made Logos 3 almost unusable for me was the difficulty in finding what I wanted amidst a large pile of slow-to-find resources. However, Logos4 is also very
