  • Re: Why Can't Searching Be Made Functional?

Here are a few examples of my frustration. I did a Bible search on my iPhone for the word "love". I randomly clicked on three of the search results. I clicked on Genesis 24:67, and the app opened to Genesis 25:13. Well, at least close. I clicked on Deuteronomy 13:6, and the app opened to Deuteronomy 18:1. I clicked on Song of Solomon 3:10, and the app

  • Re: Why Can't Searching Be Made Functional?

In a Bible search I have often clicked on a search reference, and instead of taking me to that reference, I have actually been taken to a reference in a different book of the Bible. This happens when the reference is in one of the shorter books of the Bible, and I am taken to a neighboring book. Bible references, however, are not the most annoying because

  • Why Can't Searching Be Made Functional?

Why can't searching be made functional in the mobile apps? At least on the iPhone and iPad, when one searches, and then clicks on one of the results, the app does not open to that that search result. It seems to open somewhere random. In concordance searches of a Bible it often even opens to the wrong book of the Bible. In basic searches it often opens

  • Re: Is Logos expensive?

As a preacher / pastor I see Logos Bible Software as one of the major tools of my trade. If you shop the Logos sales, and are careful, a library in Logos will cost less than an equivalent library in paper books. And it will be far more useful. You never lose the books you buy in Logos. That has been true for me for 25 years now. Over the last 25 years

  • The Bicentennial Edition of The Works of John Wesley

The Bicentennial Edition of The Works of John Wesley is the only scholarly edition of Wesley's Works done in more than a century. It is the work of the best Wesley Scholars in the world today, maybe any time. We really need this in Logos. Please consider making this available. Abingdon is the publisher.

[quote user="Bruce Lundquist"] From time to time over the years I've tried to learn Biblical Hebrew, with varying success. What I thought would be great is if Logos 8 had some app or something to help learn Hebrew. Is there anything like this in Logos 8? Thanks. [quote user="Mark Kulikovsky"] Is anyone else really annoyed by accidentally closing tabs in Logos 8 because the close 'x' icon now sits next to the book cover image in each tab header and if you don't position your cursor EXACTLY on the book cover image and are a little to far to the right you end up closing the tab. I have done it so many times and

This is the first time that I upgraded without a major resource purchase. I did purchase a package, but the least expensive package I have ever purchased. I had the Logos 7 Portfolio, and I "upgraded" to the Baptist Gold package. It cost me $612, gave me all the features and a some good resources, while staying within my budget. I am happy with the

I No doubt the new features of Logos 8 are exciting; however, I assume there are new packages of resources and books with the Logos 8 release. For a few us, that will be what drives our decision to upgrade or not. Could these packages not be posted for comparison? I need to see and compare, not just talk about it on the phone. Maybe I have just missed
