• Re: Question on Atlas Tool & Its Status
Wow I wish it was that easy in Logos... I tried to find a river the other day and even though the Factbook found it and had a link to the atlas, when I clicked all it did was load the map. The rivers weren't even labeled. I gave up eventually and looked it up in an atlas
Mattillo, can you provide more information on
Any thoughts from FL on whether this documentation could be added to Atlas? Any thoughts from FL on if there are further additions coming to the atlas? Thx
I've passed the documentation feedback along: thanks for that. We're not currently planning a feature like the one Rick describes, though i can appreciate why he
<snip> This works on my system, but the atlas is so slow in responding, I would have never figured it out without being told (thank you, Randy). But even with this post explaining it, at first I thought it wasn't working because it is sooooooo slow to respond. For all practical purposes, the Atlas is simply too slow
I did just notice that the topic of "Reconciliation" does not return any "hits" I am not sure what determines the ontology but this seems to fit the category. (?)
Thanks for the work all of you are doing on this. I just finished trying the "Workflow Guide for Exploring Christian Doctrine" based on the article by Dr. Ward in the March/April BSM. I wanted to do comparisons of several doctrines from various denominations. I tried to reference several other Theologies & Dogmatics in
Thank you Kyle and team for your diligent work! Perhaps a question out of ignorance: How do we see the richness that's now being added to the Theology Guide through this tagging work? From what I can tell (from a cursory look), this additional annotation work primarily enhances the "Systematic Theologies" section of the Theology Guide
<snip/> First, navigating the topics in a locus is not easy. If I open ecclesiology or the doctrine of the church, there's no easy way to navigate to the subtopics within the guide. I would think that I could click on the points in the ontology tree, but all that does is open the image in media. If I start with a subtopic,

That's a bug alright: the English version has "Cuthah". I'll report that to the team for correction.
I'm curious if others have some strategies to work around some of the workflow limitations (or can tell me what I'm doing so stupidly as to make the software look limited, if that's the case...which is entirely possible). Here's an example. I was testing out a Theological Topic workflow, and when I enter a fairly common theological

Thanks for reporting these issues: they've uncovered a few problems in the web and mobile apps that I've passed along to our developers. These videos should play correctly in the desktop version for now.

Right, there's no audio for the Jerusalem flyover. Glad things are working as expected.
Looking for some insight on what is happening with recent 8.3 update. I appreciate the update and a number of resources that I now find in my library (I assume with temporary licenses). Among the resources was the Lexham Geographical Commentary on Acts to Revelation. I have two questions about the commentary: (1) I have

Thanks Rick. You're probably right about starting a new thread. This is significantly slower than my experience (though there are a lot of variables): I'll pass this along to our Devs to see if there are any ideas. Can you confirm your Logos version?
... The maps in Logos are perhaps my biggest area of disappointment--in part for some of the things you noted, but I have found the response time with the Atlas to be so slow as to discourage me from attempting to use it most of the time. Then of course, there's the issue that it's dependent on an internet connection, which

  • Re: Bug: Logos 7 Maps Broken

John, here's the behavior i'd like to see in Atlas: when you bring up the context menu (right-click) menu on a place name in the Bible select the event on the right side select Atlas on the left then Atlas should display the best map for that event (if there is one). Currently it displays the relevant era map (like "Life of Jesus") instead. This may

  • Re: Atlas Tool not Consistent in Location of Places

Thanks for your feedback. You're correct that all Atlas maps are created by Faithlife. We made some data changes in the process of creating the map for Pharaoh Versus Yahweh at the Red Sea but apparently didn't get them back onto the "Biblical World" overview map. We'll get that corrected.

I'm sorry our Theology Guide coverage hasn't increased more quickly. As mentioned here and here , we're committed to eventually indexing the widest possible selection of systematic theology resources in Logos. The process we used for curating the initial set of resources won't scale well to this many resources, so we've had to step back and build some
