• Re: Biblical Languages
Should point out that after purchasing Portfolio, and the rest of the packages listed after L6 in my signature, I found I owned all of the titles included in the Biblical Languages package.
Does the website show that you own the BL package when you go to purchase it? I know that collections will show that you own

  • Re: Bug: Dynamic Pricing of Chaplain's Library

Thanks Toby. I picked up Chaplain's last night when I called in. The dynamic price ended up being approximately $40.

  • BUG?: Baptist Studies Bundle

I don't know if this is a bug, but my pricing for the Large Baptist Studies Bundle is actually less than the Medium Baptist Studies Bundle. I don't mind the discrepancy mind you, but I thought it should perhaps be pointed out.

  • Re: Are Logos 5 Protfolio Owners Lossing Their "Lifetime" Discount?

Thanks Kent. The original Portfolio discount always seemed odd to me in the sense that Logos (Faithlife) has gone to great lengths to stipulate that a package does not convey a "status" to the user. This Bundle discount always seemed to me to be contrary to that position. For example, someone could own L5 Gold and have spent approximately $20K more

  • Re: "How long will we be waiting" message on phone sales

I must have gotten lucky in that I wasn't forced to wait at all. I made a direct call to my sales rep's line tonight and he picked right up...granted it was at about 7:00pm Pacific.

  • Re: BUG: There seems to be a problem in computing dynamic price for crossgrades
I'm not sure I agree this is fair, or even a common practice to rescind a license for beta testing software, is it? It's entirely possible this was spelled out in some sort of terms and conditions post at the very beginning of beta testing, but I don't remember if it was. If it wasn't, I think that's an unfortunate oversight

  • Access to Recently Updates Resources List

Is there any way to pull up the list of recently updated resources once you've dismissed the notification in the upper right hand corner of L6?

  • Re: Not very impressed with the packages I have seen

My experience was somewhat different than yours. I found that I was able to pick up two modern commentary sets that would have been well over $1,000 separately for a little more than three C-notes. The new engine, datasets, functionality and other resources were merely a tremendous value-add. I was able to eliminate quiet a few expensive resources from

  • Re: Access to Recently Updates Resources List

Thanks Mike. I wish there were a way to sort by multiple categories (e.g. most recently updated biblical commentaries). Perhaps I've missed that as well all of these years.

  • Re: Best laptop for logos 5

If you want a laptop that acts as an occasional tablet, then I'd recommend the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro. If you want a tablet that can act as an occasional laptop, then I'd second the Surface Pro. I personally use a Yoga 2 Pro for Logos...I prefer the traditional laptop arrangement since Logos 5 is designed for and works better with the traditional keyboard

  • Re: OT: Geology / Archaeology / Israel > 'A Crack in the Earth' Haim Watzman

Thanks Denise....I would have missed this otherwise. Once you purchase the volume they are offering the audible narration for an additional reasonable sum. I think I'll pick that up as well for my lengthy commute (3-4 hours round trip on a typical day).

  • Re: Less timeline events after 8/29 update?
Hello, I just received an update to the Universal Timeline Database. Prior to this update I had 11,525 events on my timeline. After the update I only have 5,782 timeline events. What happened? Did Logos take away 5,743 events? Please help. Glenn Hendrickson
I now have exactly 5,782 events as well. Version 5

  • Re: Logos 5.2b (5.2.2.1489) is now available

I'm on 5.2b SR-3 and last night I downloaded Canaanite Myths and Legends from the daily deal. Logos then insisted on First-Time Indexing after the download. Problems ensued when my CPU began to overheat as a result of the process and it would crash the PC at about 10% completion. I was finally able to troubleshoot the issue to my closed-loop cpu cooler

  • Re: Holy cow now I CAN NOT access my Wish List!!

It seems there is still something wrong with the Wish Lists...I keep getting a "504 Gateway Time-out" server error. Lately the Wish Lists have been painfully slow when you could access them. There is a specific resource that I need for a paper and I've forgotten its name. I have it listed under my "Ancient Texts" Wish List but can't get to it....argh

  • Re: Thanks for the Christmas Gift

A nice problem indeed. I took the opportunity to use the $20 and the $50 credit to purchase the upgrades for the Opening Up Commentary and the Believer's Church Bible Commentary. I likely wouldn't have made them a priority but "essentially free" was too good to pass up.

The added benefit was that they "convinced" me to go ahead and purchase the Interpretation Commentary Series for a nice discount while they were at it.

Rats! I ordered this just today and then found the co upon code afterward. Customer Service was kind enough to issue me a credit for the purchase price so I can go shopping s'more.
Hi all, We're still working with Eerdmans to come up with a plan for anyone who does want to return the commentaries. For those to don't want to return them, please know that we will not take your commentaries away from you. You own them. Thank you!
I'd be interesting in knowing whether Eerdmans intends to revise
