Currently we are using my personal iPad, but want to transition to a church-owned device. Does anyone know of any reliability or speed issues with the Fire? Or does it seem to run the remote app well?
See if any of your church members or other friend will let you use their Fire to install the app and try.
We are considering picking up an Amazon Fire Tablet (7")
Amazon Fire Tablets work well. Until they decide not to update your operating system so you need to buy a new one every four years or so but other manufactures are about the same. Also Amazon uses its own app store and will not let you use items from the Google

Force us to rebuild them on each of our computers” No more you pay for storage. BOB: “This would be less of an issue if most PBBs were a user's own, original

Do you mean that, for example, every open bible is at a different Book, Chapter and Verse? That is not a linked set?
Perhaps Logos could have a "WEB" search button in the inline search and other search tools. In the settings you can choose your preferred engine (e.g. Bing, Google, Yahoo, etc). Perhaps a split pane that opens if the web button is chosen. One search, searching both Logos, and the internet -- if desired.
That might

  • Re: switching back and forth to and from Verbum

Hopefully Faithlife will publish a full list of all the differences between Logos and Verbum. [[Extra collections don't count as features imho]] Someday Verbum will obtain full Lectionary usage status. And then they will have to move Ortodox from Logos to Verbum [[and maybe some other 'groups']].

Thanks. One comment on updating the file: You have Delete old file then add new one. I always add the new one and then delete the old one. That way if I get distracted before I add the new file the old file name is still there to remind me what I was doing before I got distracted. Have recently modified the directory structure of my PBB library and

Sorry that I can not answer your question but there is only one way to ensure you place each commentary in the correct pile: Read it from cover to cover yourself. And Yes, that would be very time consuming [I have 100 resources tagged as Revelation] [And 82 tagged as Daniel] But maybe we do not need to read the whole book. Maybe if we ask: What keywords

While searching for ‘The Reading Level of the KJV’ I found this: https://byfaithweunderstand.com/2015/02/23/the-reading-level-of-the-kjv/ They claim Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level for the New Testament KJV: 4.32 ESV: 8.22 And they tell you how to make the calculation yourself. As some are telling how their church could use Faithlife I will report: Faithlife will never work in my local church - reason: cost. Have about 70 members per week but we can only get about 20 to attend the study before worship. A one named user for Logos would not work as the Pastor and the six Elders rotate preaching duties.
