NABRE surprised me. In Sirach, it tracked the hebrew (the pieces available), whereas NAB and other deuterocanon Bibles, track the greek (LXX).
Have seen some references that claim that the Greek of the LXX was translated from the Hebrew of 250 BC or so while the Hebrew we have today is the Hebrew of 90 AD or so. Anyone know
I will say that it may be worth it to get someone to change it out for you. With 16 GB of RAM and the Samsung SSD, I really believe you would be set for just a couple of hundred dollars. Your other specs are good, and as long as the computer is in good condition, I see no reason to purchase a new one.
It might cost
As a computer builder, I would never buy or build a computer these days without an SSD. The costs have dropped considerably and the performance boost is considerable. If you were to get a 1TB Samsung SSD EVO for $115 and put it in your current computer, you would practically have a new computer. I would also upgrade the
I used to tell myself that the reason I was acquiring all these books was to enhance my search capability. But the reality is, the more books in my library, the more search hits I get and the more I'd have to wade through them (or spend more time tagging and prioritizing my library) for the results to be very useful. I usually
In general, reading plans, work flows, and similar smaller features are geared for the Logos side of the house. My grandchildren are in late high school to beginning a masters program. I have told them to cite everything including where you use ideas. For example: if you are using the color red to mean anger cite where you got that idea - don't assume it as common knowledge. Along similar lines some, especially high school, say not to use Wikipedia. I tell them

Finding Jesus in the Old Testament can be difficult as it may depend on interpretation. In the church I attend it is Jesus in the cloud leading out of Egypt. And Jesus was the one that had lunch with Abraham. But that may be denominationally dependent. Most see the God of the OT as what we would call the Father - The Ancient One. [[We interpret all
